By making headlines, even on geek news sites, he gets his name out and makes that many more people more aware of his presence on the book stand.
This guy's books are free on his website, not commercially available on book stands. I don't see what he could gain, exactly, other than people seeing his side of the story.
Also, the teamwork aspect is something that you just can't have with computer AI. I can't foresee any computer AI responding to voice chat, like "Can anyone buy me a weapon? Please?".
Actually, in Unreal Tournament 2004(maybe 2003 as well?) if you had a mic and voice recognition set up on your computer you could command teammate bots to give you their guns, hold a point, attack/defend/freelance, among other things.
...the PC port of Resident Evil 4. People claimed the port was not horribly done because the reviewers had pirated versions, where it was incomplete. Of course, upon release it turned out to be an abomination. Sure it's not EXACTLY the same.. Capcom didn't take down the bad reviews or anything like that. That and, Resident Evil 4 is actually a good game and people only complained about the port job, while in this case the gameplay itself is horrible.
The dinosaurs in Jurassic Park had no feathers because part of their DNA was missing and had to be spliced with the DNA from frogs. They were mutants or something.
Actually.. he might just be a member of the GNAA

I actually meant universal format as in "not a patent nightmare", but that'll work.
A sarcastic reference to this.
They probably took those to use some van Eck phreaking techniques on it.
