Maybe because throughout history men have committed offense after offense towards women that have generated a white hot hatred of men?
If I read you right, women have never committed any offense against men.
And I'm oh so interested that you assume that I am implying all women.
Because my dear Punchinello, it is only a subgroup, for some reason largely based in Hollywood and Academia genders studies programs, that engender that hatred.
And we understand that. This grouping is doing something very similar to all totalitarian groups. Identify an enemy, then go after them. Among these wome onf this political ilk, there may have been abused women, but there are certainly an overwheliming number of women who have just been trained to hate and hate hard. And like all totalitarian groups, guilt or innocence is based on identity, not facts.
This is exactly how Asia Argento, who is a co founder of the #metoo can speak to the terrible things that men do to women, but can herself collect pictures of a 12 year old boy, and fuck him merrily before he is of legal age, take another man's money to pay him hush money (sounds like someone we know?) then decide to keep some of it herself. Seems like statutory rape, and possession of kiddie porn to me. But it's okay, perhaps because she is not male, therefore not responsible, Punchinello? Side note - she claims it was the child's fault - sounds like the old story male pedos use, amirite Punchinello?
Maybe if you actually listened to what they were saying, you'd understand that.
But they're only stupid bitches, right?
I listen to the strong and professional women around me who have been and are successful, and not weak women, like ms Argento who believes there are separate rules for women that allow them to collect kiddie porn and administer fellatio and other sexual acts with children, or that crazy Milo Moiré,, in a wold where a man winking at a woman is sexual harassment, but wandering around in public allowing complete strangers to finger fuck her because feminism. Follow the link in my previous posting, but I think you did, and support that.
Nope, nope, sorry - those actions by third wave feminists are quite simply insane. Insane, not stupid. And so are you if you support that.
Since Trump and his merry band of spineless cowards have taken our economy to new heights, and we have acheived essentially full employment, adding 1 million jobs is not only not necessary, but counterproductive for the people Trump works for.
If that's what you think then you paid about $800 too much for your phone.
I'm trying to imagine exactly what the OmygawdI'vegottheworld'sfastestsmartphone!!!!! Is going to do for me.
Can you tell me what actual thing it is going to do better?
You get a free pass if your hobby is benchmarking. Well, a snicker too. But other than beating other phones in benchmarking, maybe Candy Crush runs faster. But I don't play Candy Crush.
You're missing conscientiousness. That, along with intelligence, predicts life outcomes. Low intelligence, high conscientiousness means you're the best janitor in the building. High intelligence, low conscientiousness means you're a WoW guild leader living in mom's basement. High both and you're an achiever.
I 'm not certain that conscientiousness is always the right word. While people i have worked with have always considered me as Boy Scout honest, if they had to use a one word description, "ruthless" or "driven" would be more accurate. In any situation, Ipick the most productive person in a group, and do much better.
And human intelligence does indeed follow a bell curve. Facts over feelings.
Perhaps. Let us say that we plot average intelligence. And according to your wishes, there is a racial component to it.
Okay - what are you going to do with that? Are you going to stand 50 feet away from a person of that race and give an accurate truth of their IQ?
And given that every person I know who believes that IQ is somehow welded to racial characteristics is as white as I am - after determining what you want to do with the "lesser races", remember that the white race is not at the pinnacle of average intelligence.
The only use of the bell curve is to insinuate intelligence by race, and since racism is that weird majick that allows a mentally challenged terminally unemployed white guy pretend he is superior to a Genius who just happens to be of dark pigmentation and of African descent.
Whihc is to say, not only useless, but pointless and wrong.
This from someone that Is an Anonymous Coward. Hypocrite, bigot.
But he is not wrong. The moral and idealogical leader is implementing policies that at one time were considered the exact opposite of conservatism, like tarriffs, which are a tax, then using tax monies to reward a specific group, then suggesting he become president for life. Then suggesting that Americans should not be allowed to protest.
Then my favorite, one that crypto conservatives have accused Demoncrats of doing . Print money https://finance.yahoo.com/news... . What the outrageous fuck?
Standing by and doing nothing while their new leader does things they always claimed they were dead set against, is the exact same thing as approval. Te worst that can be said is that they approve of dismantling America. The best thing that can be said is they are the lowest form of spineless coward, and I would suggest that the new GOP symbol be a portrait of Benedict Arnold. Or if they want one more recent, and to the same group the US is now triyng to emulate, thus more likely to be a Republican Hero, a portrait of Robert Hanssen.
Intelligence is inheritable. Duh. Like I said, 'same as their parents'.
While true - it also means absolutely nothing.
In my family, My father, my older sister, and myself have very high intelligence. My mother and my younger sister both have average intelligence. My father was fairly poor, and my older sister worked a life full of menial jobs, despite her IQ and degree. On the other hand, I am pretty driven, and I have done well.
Silly things like "The Bell Curve" are stupid - as are the people who believe in it. Even if true, it tells not one thing about any individual.
The Emmy's are about death to the Patriarchy. https://www.vanityfair.com/hol... If you do not agree, you are a sexist member of the patriarchy. Wany to argue about it? Take it up with Joanna Robinson, who tells us what the Emmy's are now.
Personally,, just between us chickens, I would like to see an awards show that is not based on the white hot hatred of men. One based on a television show being entertaining. One not based on Lecturing us with no humor at all, merely hate. One where every female winner is not announced with playing the old song "You don't own me"
So I have the same amount of intellectual interest in the Emmy's as a slutwalk, or that woman Milo Moiré, who invites people to fingerbang her in public as a strike against the patriarchy. https://www.cosmopolitan.com/s... Just insane people trying to tell us that their insanity is the best.
Which is why I consider third wave feminists merely the opposite side of the coin from Trump. Neither are sane.
Then again, that's the state of television.
This article isn't about anything new, people have tested all sorts of plastics, even the "safe" ones, and almost all plastic tested is toxic.
The "safe" plastics are considered mostly safe because they shouldn't have toxic chemicals in them. Most do.
Not my argument. I was responding to someone's argument that merely by being plastic, it is dangerous.
Anyone claiming that plastic is safe is an idiot.
And vaccines cause autism, amirite?
I'm not certain where you pick up your outrage, but I'd never simply say "plastics are safe". That statement makes no sense. What do you mean when you say plastic? Plastic is a term of property of a substance, and not a term of what the substance is made of.
So it is really easy to have plastic materials that consist of substances that are not good for living things. For example, I always get very interested when I see "phenol" in a substance. There is a very good chance that it can be harmful.
What do you mean when you say "safe" when referring to plastics? Structurally safe? Safe from degradation? Biologically safe?
So yeah, I suppose anyone coming out with a vague blanket statement that "'Plastics are safe" might be accused of ignorance of the subject. I'm not so certain that people with the similar statement that "All plastics are unsafe" are not suffering from the same level of ignorance.
A simple plastic which has almost no use in the modern world doesn't change that over 90% of plastics tested have proven to be toxic, and the leaching requires nothing more than a slightly high temperature, or a tiny scratch.
Congratulations with cherry picking and discarding of data at a level that would make a global warming denialist proud. My pointing out that casein plastic is not toxic in response to a claim that "All plastic is unsafe" does indicate that the statement "All plastic is unsafe" is completely untrue. All plastic is not unsafe.
You tried to sound smart but you barely got past the headline before commenting on something you clearly don't know much about.
Well then educate me. First off - you are apparently an expert, as you present yourself as one, despite some statements that I know are odd for an expert to be making, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Tell me what I believe about so-called plastic. Then show me the light.
The right kind of glass is generally good, but why do you think plastics are used in some cases where the container have to be really inert (strong acids for instance)? Because some plastics aren't affected by things that make glass dissolve.
Plastic is a description of material property, plastics a description of a material class that are (generally) plastic and made of some sort of polymer often (but not always) man made. Plastics aren't inherently toxic and anyone thinking they are should be forced back to school.
The issue with plastics is that some have given others a bad name. But some in here seem to think that any and all are bad, or just love trolling.
The estrogen mimics that are used in some plastics are unquestionably bad, especially for the male of the species. But to cast something like casein plastic, made of cow milk and acetic acid as somehow bad is silly, and only shows the ignorance of the person. condemning them.
Bisphenol A is an estrogen mimic, and it appears polysophone might release BPS. That's what this study is suggesting, and nothing else.
The problem with that statement is that what's considered a plastic is chemical diverse. We do know some plastics do not have the kind of negative heath effects that BPA has because they are far more chemically stable. If you read the actual study, you'll see this is only in relation to "structurally similar bisphenols", not plastics in general.
The real problem we have here is that companies have been allowed to use any old molecular structure in their products they wish without proving anything about the health impacts it may or may not impart.
Speaking of diverse, one of the early plastics was made of casein, from cow milk. https://www.scientificamerican... Milk and vinegar will do it.
Close. With more than 4 people, it takes too long for people to get their turn to talk, and their egos require more frequent opportunities to be stroked.
There is something to that. In my circle, we have lunches with maybe 6-8 people. One guy tends to dominate, and yes, he has the biggest ego. Others tend to blurt out to get a word in. As for me, I tend to sit back and listen. I never learned a thing while I was talking. So I'm not certain if I count towards the four person law.
I don't think that any more than 2 people can have an actual conversation.
And how do you think the speakers are moving their membranes? Don't forget the DAC too.
"Sokath, his eyes opened!
Yes, space inside a smartphone is incredibly limited.
People clamor for longer battery life, people clamor for wireless charging, people clamor for screens with no bezel. People clamor for thin. All have an impact on the innards of the phone. The tiny space available inside a phone fills up very quickly, and some of these demands are counter to each other.
The classic Slashdot acceptable phone with it's replaceable battery compartment and headphone jack is becoming an anachronism now.
ugh that's moronic. the battery life gain from removing something as as small as a headphone jack is not going to be enough to keep my phone powered on for any significant time.
Let us look at the situation. A 3.5 mm plug has a length of 14.5 mm, or roughy.6 inch.
So at an almost impossible bare minimum, that is how far it will stick into the inside of the phone. Then there is the Jack. A really good chance it will stick almost 25 mm into the inside of the phone That space is lost for anything that has a rectangular shape.
Like a battery. For the whole width of the phone. And if you have a fair sized phone, that is a lot more capacity
Unless you know of a battery that has a recess for a headphone Jack.. I'm not buying a Li-Po battery like that. If it existed.
Respectfully submitted, your favorite Moron - who is just pointing out that if you call someone stupid, it helps if you are right. Because in this matter, you are not even wrong.
Is he also that guy who never turns down a chance to tell anyone he meets that he does not own a TV?
That's the guy!
Two of my wife's friends refuse to get a computer.
They are nice ladies, but I've had to do stuff for them online because of that. I don't really mind, but one day I was talking to them, and both were expoundng how that had no use for a computer, simply didn't need one. Bragging in fact.P
I suppose, as long as they have someone to do what they needed on-line.
They did you a favor by limiting the number of phones you personally find acceptable. A friend of my wife has an old flip phone because "smartphones are stupid and trendy".But she can still find a phone - I think her next one is that phone they advertise on television for old people though, the selection isn't quite what it used to be.
Impressive load of childish garbage.
Goo-Goo. The point, which I suspect you are actively trying to avoid, is that time moves on. That headphone jack is disappearing. The jack makes for a fairly big ingress into the phone, every pit if which takes away battery space. and most people prefer battery life to the jack. Losing the battery jack hasn't had much effect on Apple sales, and probably won't on the Android sales either.
The reason why Apple owners don't care is because many or most of them use Bluetooth earphones. So a phone that you will almost certainly never buy pisses you off. Well how about that? The headphone jack is going the way of the battery replacement compartment. Some folks still froth at the mouth about that as well, but most of us chuckle about the old man yelling at the Television aspect of it.
What about people with speech impediments often refereed to as "lisps". Should they be force to be reminded of their disability every day they go into the office?
In truth, very few people with any sort of disability are all butthurt if they hear something mentioned that can be construed as giving them booboo feelings.
Many even make jokes about it. Laughter and ridicule are top notch coping mechanisms. Touchy feely word banning and "you poor thing" outlook seldom are.
Like, who is spun up at male and female connectors? Who feels better if the terminology is banned. The answer of course, is the only people who feel better are the permanently outraged, even then, only until they find whatever new thing outrages them.
Maybe because throughout history men have committed offense after offense towards women that have generated a white hot hatred of men?

Sarcasm? No offence intended, I'm just suffering from Poe's Law right now and genuinely can't tell.
More like an observation.
What about hoboism?
No money to run out of, I suppose. In any event, most people end up broke.

The problem with all 'isms is that eventually you run out of money.

Rather pathetic that a representative for a democracy didn't plan on democracy happening.
He's a Republican, not a representative for democracy.
