I'm not so sure. My brother has had an iPhone and was ready to get the new one. He also has an iPad. On a recent trip together, he got to check out my new evo. I got a text a couple days ago... he said he just got the evo. His words, "im tired of Apple's shit."
I briefly worked for Lucent in the late 90's and remember hearing about this during some watercooler talk. IIRC this came from Bell Labs... namesake of Alexander Graham Bell... a Scot.
Sure, if you prefer to give mosquitoes a nest. It's only malaria. There are actually other diseases you can get from a mosquito bite.
For one reason or another, this news is worrisome to me. In a hundred years this may be considered a mistake. If a million people die from malaria annually, that's an extra metropolis we're adding to the world each year.
I know it's harsh, and it doesn't please me that people have to die and suffer, but it's a part of life.
I'm not a plastics engineer, but if they could make them to degrade in UV, can't they just make them degrade at a significantly HIGHER amount of UV exposure? This way you get the benefits of degradation, but keep it from doing so while it is hurting Nemo.
We did not hunt animals. We followed them until they gave up. We always had the best endurance.
I envision this as a new form of food activism. Current conditions of domesticated food animals is pretty bad. Maybe we could just go to some ranch and follow the cattle until they "give up".
And I'm not so sure our endurance alone tops that of a pack of wolves, dogs, or coyotes.
Barefoot running, for example, is booming because once you develop the muscles that have been left unused for so long, injury rates plummet compared to standard running shoes.
You do realize that a lot of people like to run outside right? There tends to be nasty things on the ground like glass, metal, rocks, sticks, raccoons, and homeless people you would likely prefer not to step on.
I had this really cool RS-232 optical mouse with a mirrored mouse pad back in 1995 or so. I'm pretty sure it had software that needed to be installed. The grid marks on the pad eventually wore off, and I couldn't find a replacement...
Honestly, it's their business model. Paying customers have a foot to stand on if they want to complain, but if you aren't paying for something, that's your fault.
Does anyone seem to remember the power of open source is that you have access to the code? In the long term, being able to adapt a business solution because you can alter the code is a huge cash saver.
I, too, generally have to drive 40 minutes each way to work to do a job that I could do quicker and cheaper from home.
It's coming around, though. I have shown everyone that I can access our ancient POS system remotely from my laptop, and can even access (though it's pretty crude because of no keyboard) it from my phone.
Just in case anyone cares, it is illegal to collect rain water in Colorado (and probably other mountain states) unless you own the right to do so. I'm not commenting on whether it's a good idea or not, just mentioning it because.
If your accuser says you were in Philly, and your hair says you were in Detroit, then you might be innocent of the crime in Philly, but you're still stuck in Detroit.
I agree. Maybe people are looking at it backwards. It's not that Cisco's traditional model is to sell industrial strength goods, and that they don't have experience with consumer grade stuff; Think of it more like Cisco building the infrastructure first, and once the market saturates, moving toward products that operate on that infrastructure.
You don't suppose this is what Cisco has planned on all along?
From the stories I've heard from a Cisco vet that retired in... I think '02 or so, the environment there is very much about this Microsoft-like market dictation. In the case of the Cius, hopefully they have learned, after all these years, that to become an Apple, HP, IBM, etc. is one thing, to improve on it and do it RIGHT is entirely another.
The play-at-home version is more fun. You get to argue and bicker with family and friends knowing that at the end of the night, everyone still irritates everyone else when it comes to money.
I tried the Google online Monopoly. It was kind of fun for about a day or two.
Demonstrating "hello world" is useful to someone new to programming.
This could work and allows you enough time to not come up with something lame.

Jobs doesn't have friends. He only has subjects.
This is why you always defer the receipt when they ask, "do you want your receipt?" It's a cleaner paper trail that way.
Or imagine how long someone like Alex Jones could operate in China
That's actually a benefit of living in China.
Please, compare the number of Chinese immigrants to the US with the number of US immigrants to China. See the point?

Haha, give autistic kids a robot for a teacher, that'll sort them out. LMAO!

I can't think of anything better for the "subjects" of the UK to aim their efforts toward. The world needs a new court jester.
You could install a rainwater collector...

You do realize that for someone to find the comment posting the video link, they already waded through a bunch of silly comments and garbage.
Sparing /. readers from /. itself is sometimes the best service.
Because schools have plagiarism checkers that will find it.

Our Magento site is hosted for $70/mo (which is overkill tbh) and it runs nice and smooth.
We aren't using it for ecommerce, strictly to drive sales to our retail store.
If you know what you're doing, Magento is terrific. Do your research, and it is well worth the effort.
when I visit /. I type sla + enter, the browser does the rest.
