Most plastics or synthetic material tend to yellow and degrade under ultraviolet light, to make it a strong selling point is BS. If I have a blue LED and put yellow cellophane on it, it does not create a more "natural" light.
I think most CPUs have some sort of "defects" of some kind, and the ones sold are the ones that pass qc. By your definition, most of these CPUs are "defective" which has almost similar meaning as "broken". As long as AMD sells what they market, you can't say its defective.
First you say we're wasting resources and then you say Russia and China are capable of creating weapons systems to match and overtake ours. So your point is that the US should stand back while everyone else upgrades their stuff. That strategy worked really well for the French. I don't really see jets and aircraft carriers and other military vehicles as weapons of war as such, rather they are the cutting edge of technology that through their development a lot of good comes out of them. Without the military you will never see a jet plane with the flight capabilities of an F-22 because there would not be a practical reason for them. Without continous research by the military we might ever see practical space travel.
Really horrible idea, good knees are what people miss the most as people get older. I wouldn't want to trade 10 years of good knees just charge up my cell phone. Furthermore if I was a hiker or soldier walking all day, I wouldn't want extra stuff attached to my leg actually impeding my leg movements for a few extra watts of electrical energy.
That sucks dude, at least in the USA we have term limits, but the Bush and Clitton family seem to have found a way around that. Hopefully Obama is Nigerian slang for female body parts so that he has a good chance of being elected.
I like Obama, only because we need a President with a new last name. There's no scientific way to determine who would be the best president, but we need someone with new perspectives. Or at least not jaded enough to try new things. They're all politicians so everything they do will come under my inspection but so far the only two candidates that fit closest is Obama and McCain, IMHO. Still haven't made up my mind how to vote tho.
Anyway, on to the flamebait stuff, the democratic logo is horrible, looks like a mutated dog.
No, the way to stop monopolies is to have as many competing monopolies as possible competing against each other in a non-monopoly way.
Is monopoly the new "brick"?

I propose this mysterious matter is actually the facial hair from our evil counterparts in the parallel universe.
Thank you for confirming my suspicion that the point where the lines cross is relatively small, shallow and full of traffic. Why couldn't they have shielded the whole thing with a couple of feet of reinforced concrete?
Anyone know the difference in terms of features between Android and the most current version of Windows mobile? I hope that the introduction of Android will spur all companies to introduce more and more innovations. The gPhone will be more of a competitor to smartphones that are NOT iPhones. iPhones are more of a status symbol and their users will not be really in the market for other phones. I like the iPhone because they are cool and do things that other phones can't match yet, but feature for feature they lose to other smartphones.
26% is good but not "astonishing".
In the technology world it's not uncommon for products to be adopted at the rate of hundreds of percent. 26% could be a fluke for all we know considering the small market share currently.
If gene sequencing is like programming and intelligence design is real, is God somewhere trying to decipher this new DNA and muttering obscenities under his breath?
Apple fanboy? I'm running freaking Vista for pete's sake!(Vista is not bad enough for me to go through the trouble of reinstalling XP) I haven't been drooling over the iPhone. I'm just in the market for a smartphone/music player right now and the iPhone looks the most fun right now. I'm perfectly willing to jailbreak the iPhone so I can do whatever I want with it. Plus Steve Jobs is not known for listening to consumers, he just expects people to like things that he thinks are cool. Sometimes he's right sometimes he's wrong, I expect the new Air computer thingy will end with the same fate as that cube thingy.
I appreciate your point of view but if you look into it the iPhone and other Apple computers do suffer crashes and stability problems. Since I'm not a user of either I can't verify whether it's true or not. But if it's true, it's almost inexcusable since Apple controls both hardware and software so tightly.
I like the iPhone because it's fun but why are we fighting so hard just to make it run programs that we want? Does anyone see something totally wrong with this? Sure DRM will always get broken but Apple also has a history of screwing users who do. I'm in the market for an iPhone but this constant back and forth is giving me pause. I don't Apple to nickel and dime me for every little thing that I put on the iPhone, especially since I would be stuck for 2 years with it.
Independence from the US? Ok, but who is going to be in charge of them? Are we going to trust that an independent corporation is going to be working towards the good of all instead of its own goals? How is it bad for an organization that oversees critical infrastructure be accountable by elected public officials?
I read that as "Robot plans to track weather and climate". Was just tired enough to start wondering how I could have missed the robot overlords taking over. Thanks dyslexia!
Haha, all their pics look to be "photoshopped" on MS Paint. You can actually see the square pixels that they modified. All the pics might as well be technical diagrams for the new Star Trek movie. Also, "Patent Panding"?
It's a blog, nobody should take the contents of a blog seriously. I'm constantly amazed that people take blogs as a primary or secondary source of information. The truth none of it is backed up by journalistic integrity or as much that would be contained in a personal diary. Blogs aren't news sources people, and people who write blogs aren't "reporters" just like Dr. Phil isn't a real doctor and Col. Sanders isn't a real Colonel.
Who sells music in a loosy compression such as MP3? CDs aren't mp3; itune music doesn't come in mp3. I think the author of the article is making the mistake of calling all digital music mp3. That's like calling all smart phones iPhones and all digital music players iPods.
High transfer speeds is good but without good latency, wireless will not be a replacement for normal broadband for me.

If perpetual motion or free energy was easy, nature would have found a way to exploit it in the billions of years this universe has existed.
Yeah, according to apple Vista takes up 80GB.
They have to be honest, otherwise they would be broke AND in jail.
