    See THIS is the problem with the American way of laws, you use precedents, why don't you decide on per case basis is beyond me.
    You're so lazy and easy on the "thinking" quota that you offload all of your decisions to the clueless hap who did the first decision about a certain topic?

    The government in my country (Bulgaria) tried a sinister trick such as this they were heavily penalized for it by the people...

    It is actually possible to install patches without running headfirst into WGA. Infact there are TWO ways:
    • When choosing mode of autoupdate choose the one that requires you to choose which patches to download and install, WGA is one of the Security patches you uncheck it and it goes away forever.
    • Have security patches installed in redistributed form, they are available from MS or even torrent sites

    Meet NTFS, it has this thing named SiS for Single Instance Storage. There's a service known as the SiS groveller, it scans your files and links them if they are duplicate, it does that for parts of your files aswell.

    Your browser can't support them even NOW, it relies on the OS for association of unknown protocols.
    What difference would it make to have the browser/program query the os what to do with this protocol...

    I'd rather have the port right next to the protocol. Example:
    http:80/example.com/ makes alot more sense, the port belongs with the protocol.
    if you don't supply port it does the default ones...
    http/example.com/
