Well it looks like if I get a new mac, my trusty old Kensington USB mouse will continue its duty. Why apple cant make a 3 button mouse with 3 OBVIOUS buttons is beyond me.
I was excited about this too until I heard this. If this is true then Apple just pulled the MB out of the Education and Enterprise market. When you have 30+ Macs to image and need it done yesterday Firewire is the only way to go. I hope this is an oversight and there is a firewire 400 at least.
Parent's post reminds me of how my Mother-in-law still uses AOL as her browser even though I upgraded her to broadband 2 years ago through her cable provider. She still pays AOL every month for the privilege of using a crippled version of IE6 with adware up the wazoo. I even went as far as to set FF3 as her default, but she'll just close it up ad relaunch AOL. Makes me want to facepalm. And no, she won't let me remove AOL because "Thats how I get my emails!"
PS3 has wireless mouse and keyboard drivers, but for some reason Nobody is making games that utilize them. Playing Oblivion with a sixaxis is no way to go through life, son.
Not sure what model this Airbus is, but most models since the A-320 came out are fly-by-wire. Many of the control surfaces are controlled by electric motors or at the very least a hydraulic compressor nearby the moving parts that is controlled electronically rather than a long hydraulic line tied to the cockpit.
Thats not a good comparison. Steve Jobs insists on having the final say on everything from the feel of the buttons, to the LCD brightness to the color of the folder icons. He is by nature a micromanager and is the CEO most likely to have an intimate knowledge of his products.
Now Balmer knowing anything other than where the extra chairs are....
John McCain would like you to think he is against eating babies, but has he ever said he is against eating babies? Whats the matter, John? Too busy eating BABIES?
I was going to say what parent already said. The President can be elected twice, and can serve for a total of 10 years. The only situation I can see this happening in is when a president takes office due to a death of the former president with 2 years left in his term, and is the subsequently re-elected twice.
Very insightful. However in this case the mainframe is a woefully outdated piece of iron running an OS that was written 200 years ago and was last patched 25 years ago. What we need here is a one time investment in a brand new mainframe, the old one will just start spitting sparks all over the server room again next year.
Does anybody here wonder what will happen if SpaceX does continue their success? I'm reminded of a man who once built a better, cheaper, and safer version of the status quo, and the Government helped the established players squash him. I worry that with our corrupt gov't, the Falcon may just become another Tucker.
That's what I'd like to know. Is this a problem just for Windows users? If so, that bad, but it really doesn't affect me since I use OS X at work and Linux at home. However, I would like to know if I should be ratcheting Noscript up a couple notches anyway.
While I am not an expert on Radio waves, I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. As I understand it, the frequency required for digital uses a smaller range and resides higher in the spectrum. This allows the older VHF signal space to be used for other applications.
If they would just make Entourage work with Exchange 2000 I would be a happy guy.
-works in a hybrid office
-tired of installing VMs just so Mac folks can use outlook.
We all run data centers with 3000 servers and program on apps with 10+ million LOC. We also all built something better than a 3d solar cell in the 5th grade.
Pfft! I achieved a technological singularity 3 years ago. I am the datacenter.

As long as we're voting on British Isles accents we'd like to hear, I vote for a lady with a Dublin Irish accent.

When did they move Canada into the Pacific Ocean?

They should reconfigure the Graviton emitters to emit a Tachyon pulse. Or to paraphrase Fry: "Like a balloon... and something bad happens!"
At last the Colonel's secret blend of 11 Herbs and Protons has been determined!
Yeah, but the shark still looks fake.
But what if a hacker installs a virus to my Milk and turns it to Yogurt? (yes yes, I know Yogurt is made by bacteria..)

OMG its a conspiracy!
I just checked Wikipedia and all of our male presidents have been men!
