    Jesus Christ that sounds familiar. I got into trouble for doing science work during an english lesson where we were taking 5 weeks to read through Animal Farm, a book I finished the first evening we got it. Not to mention having to then go through the painfully obvious allegorys in it.

    Well libel cases are civil matters so yes, like in the US, you typically won't get state aid to fight it.

    I would say that we assume the person being libelled is innocent until proven guilty. If someone asserts I'm a kiddy fiddler I shouldn't have to prove this is false.

    WTF, there are loads of native physicians in the UK, they are very well paid and they don't have Medical doctorates, they have a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery.

    No it wasn't. Japan was allied with Britain in the first world war.

    The treaty was actually very beneficial for Japan. As a one ocean navy they had 10 battle ships concentrated in the Pacific, the Americans (two ocean navy) had 15 but split between the Atlantic and Pacific. Britain has responsibilities all over the globe so it was even harder for us to concentrate our battleships (Atlantic, Pacific and Indian oceans and the Mediterranean sea).

    I think you're mistaken. You can improve the yield of a fission bomb by using deuterium, and this has been partly the reason for improved efficiency in these sorts of weapons since 1945. But a proper hydrogen bomb does indeed get almost all its energy from fusion.
