is the day I turn off the computer.
Maybe they could have a virtual survivor, where they still have to swim and get the flag, but I get to crouch on the beach and snipe at them the whole time.
Why is it crappy? We are looking at going to that where I work. It's recommended by a consultant so we really don't have a lot of history with the product.
"True innovation would render all of this legal schmegal bullshit a total waste of time."
I would almost agree with you on this point. But let's say there is a better product available and an computer manufacturer wants to include it as a pre installed option.
MS basically tells them no, you can't do that, because we want all the people to use our product, that ties into our DRM solution, which gives us an unfair advantage when bidding for online movie distribution.
They are basically making it tougher for competition to take place, Innovation is great, but innovation can be squashed if something or someone has the ability, like a monopoly has.
They have the entire range of Cisco certification classes. You also may want to consider something in telecommunications as that covers a lot of networking as well. And then you can still apply for work outside of IT.
"In May 2003 U.S. officials announced a radical new design for the $20 bill that includes several new, confidential counterfeit-deterrence features. These measures include adding light shades of blue, peach and green to the $20 bill as an anti-counterfeiting measure. (Note: The peach bills premiered in October 2003)."
Way to keep the confidentiallity going there HP!!!
I am sure in the EULA there is a clause that you are agree for them to install anything they wish to. And that in return for use of thier software, you are allowing direct advertising.
hehe, sure it is. But as long as you admit you did nothing wrong (therefore blocking class action lawsuits) and offer a token settlement, you can price fix as much as you want.

This site is gives a hilarious picture of the daily frustrations of dealing...with slashdotted sites.
I know its daily for me.
The point is that it goes wherever the wind takes it, so there is no backwards, just "where the wind takes it"
Forwards and backwards imply a destination, but it is more of a journey.
I saw we make a bunch of them and launch them shotgun style at the planet. and let them wander around collecting data. Temp, random soil tests etc.
Then have a mothership satelite or two orbiting trying to pic up a ready to transfer signal from the units and relay the data back to earth.
If your that bored, then the cell phone noise is the very least of your problems.

Any recommendations?
Ok, they will announce these lawsuits shortly after thier financial reports.
Is this to try to fool investors that might be ready to dump the stock.
With more people using cell phones, this should have been in the plan from the start.
Plus most cable companies around me allow you to get just the internet for a base rate.
Keeps the market open for people who don't use your primary service.

Our GIS dept just bought the latest Sony 5mp camera.
They are replacing some 3mp's to get the higher detail.
They mention slashdot.org by name.
Could this be some sort of revenge?

For a second I thought the wolfman was making a come back.
Totally ready for the weekend.
Well, there's a problem with that.

Terms and conditions of using the software.
Worst thing is that they have started advertising on TV as a virus removal/firewall package.
One user on my network install it, basically shut down all network connections. And loaded the computer full of crap.
Also known as eAnthology.
Last time i checked, p2p apps don't contain chemicals to make you want more p2p.
Unless you count porn.
I can just see it now,
Some salesguy holding up an empty glass.
"No, No, they are really in there, you just can't see them."
I know that landing on Mars is a very tough thing, lots of variables to consider.
But this seems like it would be exponentially harder.
Ya know, landing on something that doesn't have gravity and they don't know what it's made of.
Any ideas as to how the open source office apps will be dealing with MS's new patented XML file formats?
Ok, what kind of crap reponse is this.
It's the media's fault that this is being reported.
Not that it's wrong that they are doing it, but the "pro-liberal" media is wrong for reporting it.
If the Dem's are doing it to, string them up as well.
hehe, sure it is.

Well, if you were looking or downloading, you would be safe.
But if you were offering up music to share, that's when you have to worry about it.
