Yes, these are certainly morons and are they really serious?
Yes they are. C'mon, there are still people that believe in a god of some sort.
Like you say with all the other invisible waves in the light/sound/RF spectrum why have they not bitched about gamma radiation, or even UV from the sun? HAH!
@HEMAN:
Didn't think I had to add that to my post thinking that everyone would get what I was saying. My ass for assuming, yeah?
ANYWAY, I met my son's mother online too. When he is an adult he can meet or do whatever the fsck he wants. If you would like to add intelligence into the conversation I am listening. Don't act ignorant, which never works...
@COLMORE:
yes, 4 and 14 are a big difference and this law IS too wide a gap. We all(men of the family) piss in the woods when we go hunting. Of course I don't think any of them as sex offenders. In addition, not all sex offenders are pedophiles.
Read the last line in my previous post. All I can do is educate him to make the right decisions and hope he follows through.
Are you a parent that watches your kid all the time or are you the lazy one who wants the internet to be policed by law enforcement?
The parent should be the first line of defense as to what your kid(s) look at or whom they talk too online. Lazy parents simply should not have had kids or they can suffer the consequences of their actions, or lack there of. Children should be educated and taught NOT to meet people from online.
Even myself having a 4yr old son I think this law is ri-goddamn-diculous. I will take care of my son an educate him properly on internet use and whom he can and can not talk to.
looks like I missed that one considering it is over 2yrs old now. Thanks for pointing it out though. It needs to be a bar set for the rest or charge the little bastard.
If the boss is kewl then what does it matter? I have had bosses like this. Even when I was the boss before I changed my career, I hosted LAN parties. I supplied the equipment(minus their own boxes) and refreshments, all it took was an email and 2 weeks later people show up.
If you and your boss have a good business relationship and have a few things in common, you are good to have a long lasting job. Just don't go and break that trust or screw off at work.
hahaha, reminds me of the old skool D&D games. 320x240 graphics..oh yeah that takes a whopping 32K of graphic memory heh oh yeah the guide into the game thing.
same games by SSI/TSR
Look on page 3 word 4 of paragraph 2.
Those were easy to crack because all you had to do was open the (.EXE) in a hex editor and then pick out any english words. copy them and when they worked you put the question next to it. after about 20 or 30 plays, depending on the game and how many passwords; you had your password list all set, until you lost it but, that is another story for another thread on another day...
There isn't much in Virgin, Utah that anyone would want or go after anyway. If I remember correctly it is in South Utah just outside of Zion Nat'l Park. I used to camp there a lot in Spring and Fall. TPing a house there(IF you can find one) might be most fun, as long as some psycho doesn't come and spray you with fox pee.
Then you have a sloppy Windows. You have an OS that runs Windows programs worse than the REAL Windows. Granted you have some programs that run in WINE better than Windows but, I am not speaking of those.
I think you need a few more installation sessions with Linux. There are plenty of Linux distros that you can install under the 250MB limit and still have a working WINE. Even the most popular distros not just DSL or a hack job of Gentoo
same here, I was working at Nextel in 2000. It was my first phone as well. I had one i500 and one i720(looked water proof cause of the yellow) They made my old CTX VL700 series monitor flicker a few times before it rang. Made the speakers on my home stereo buzz or that CH CH CH CHHHHHH sound hehe
very true. I pay 44$ a month to get extra channels that they can fill commercials with. So pretty much I paying 44$ a month to watch more commercials. i knew i was getting screwed. *runs off to cancel the TV side of cable bill*
I agree. More job security for the rest of us and what is the deal with "nerdy?" Most people are shocked at the fact I am a "IT guy." I don't look nerdy at all. I have been told by most that I look like Kurt Cobain. Which is funny because "Kurt" was my nick name in high school 10yrs ago.
This article is a waste. I have modified my vehicle in the following way: Tinted windows, nice sound system, tons of stickers from ThinkGeek to show I am that computer nerd(even the license plate border that reads, "will work for bandwidth") a dash cover, European headlights(for those not in the know, it is illegal in Europe to have Amber colored lights on the headlamps so mine lack those), a steering wheel cover and a CD sleeve that both have the FORD logo on them. It doesn't even really look like a 2002 Ford Ranger anymore. I have no road rage and if someone wants to dick around and follow me the will be staring down the business end of a.45....as someone said earlier in the posts (concider that before you flip out on someone)
Even though there are a few details that Linux is not ready for, hence why i STILL dual boot, it is good to see one more person say "SUCK IT, MICROSOFT! We CAN work without you."
this is why I left the company. i was in DELL tech support SEVERAL years ago and this was an on going problem. DELL is a HUGE outsourcing company. they only have one call center that are actual employees hired by DELL and the rest are out sourcing and we all know that out sourced call centers hire warm bodies and the occasional tech that moves up the ranks to supervisor rather fast which decreases the quality of the rest because that tech is no longer taking calls, only escalations.
I had a feeling this was going to happen to DELL. I am suprised it took this long, but not suprised that it happened.
HAHA, I agree too. I take the stairs, but I am only on the 2nd floor and I park far away to at almost the opposite end of the parking lot. I have to debunk this article though. I am IT guy and I have lost erm 150LB total loss is my goal, but I still have 30 more, almost 150LBS...from 300. i think I am doing good =D about 2-3mo and I should be at my goal.
Their study had to be that of super morbidly obese people. Quite possibly the by people who can't even fit into cars and/or live with a relative or they'd otherwise die of starvation after a few months. I am one of those Jared story people. No, I didn't start eating Subway. I just stared getting away from soda, fast food, etc. and started making my own stuff or choose tea/water over soda. Oh and we can't forget about good ole exercise. ANYWAY, in the last few years I have lost 120LBS and in about 20-30 more LBS I'll be at my height weight ratio of 150-160LBS.
Now for my point: At 300LBS I was still getting the same gas mileage in my truck(use the trip meter for tanks of gas to track usage). My trip meter always reads around 290-310mi per tank. Even at 180LBS I am still getting those same readings. My food bill has not changed. Infact it has gone down quite a bit because I am not buying 2-liter sodas at 1.80$, I am getting 1/Gal water jugs for 59 and since there are about 4-liters/Gal, they last twice as long. I wont keep on about how BS this research is. I challenge any of you HUSKY fellows to loose some weight and call BS on this article. I did and I call BS!
As an employee for VzW I agree to that the phones are horribly locked down. If you know what you are doing though they are easily hackable. I for one am looing forward to the "open" phones. I do believe that with the new software they will be even easier to hack. This is why I have Verizon phones as well. Yeah, I can't txt you a ringtone, but 5min with a cable and a computer and I can open the phone and you can D/L any thing you want to it. LGs are the best, IMO, to mess with(9900)
' Honestly, I wonder why nobody followed the thought train of "Hmm... my life's wasted now anyway. Why not blow up the joint and go out with a bang?" '
I have thought of doing this. Not exactly that, but good plans to do much damage if I get in serious trouble.
WOW! I hope you, elucido, do not have any children or you are going to be a sad individual. I have one son and will ONLY have that one(vasectomy). Once he was born it wasn't and still isn't ALL about him. I have changed my life around about, but I can still do the stuff I love and more AND even involve my son in some of them. Here is our situation: He is 4 I am 28. I am in college, he is in pre-school. I work a full time job, he is a full time kid =D. Ok, so I am actually doing a dual major in college. I have already grad and moved on from the first major and am taking extra classes to move for the PHD. My second major I am also moving slowly and taking a few classes here and there. My sone and I still have all the time in the world for each other. In the evenings I cook(my second major - Culinary), I let him get involved and I teach him some cooking. On the weekends we do backyard astronomy(amatures) yeah we both like it.
Not sure how to answer the question for the guy in the article, but you can still have time for your kids. BTW, I am a single father too. Its not all about the your kids, you can still have a good entertaining life even with kids.
At least the hippies are bitching about something that actually exists.
Yes, these are certainly morons and are they really serious?

I second the AC, damn hippies!

What would be really funny is if a member/employee of the RIAA was busted or even one of the RIAA's lawyers.

..and you say this so confidently under the AC tag

To go along with your bitchfest, why don't you explain this too. http://mintywhite.com/tech/xp/windows-easter-eggs-you-really-should-try/
You posting as AC proves that you know not what you speak of. May I point you here: http://broadcast.oreilly.com/2008/10/how-linux-supports-more-device.html
