OK, so when are we going to hold Microsoft and other software makers for making insecure software?
Nice DMV comment...so true. "Waddaya mean I need insurance to register my vehicle?!" Yes, I heard that once before...
nor have I and now I have it. I was never a Star Trek fan, but the gadgets they had were always pretty kewl. For the record, the APK for this app is everywhere, just google and download. I simply did it out of spite. No one tells me what I can and can't have.
It would have to be done in still images as well since stars take days(and larger stars weeks) to fully explode. It would be nice to see a well pieced together time lapse video of a star exploding though.
Think about this: You willingly agree to pay 45$/mo for your internet KNOWING you might get full advertised speed or not. It's not the fault of the ISP that the consumer is dumb enough to pay for what they can't always provide and what is worse is that most people don't even know what they are paying for. This is why they use the "up to" disclaimer. If I am willing to pay 45$/mo for my 5Mb connection and only getting 1Mb, then I would be the dumb ass if I continued to pay for it.
This article is about advertised speeds. I have FiOS 35/35 and get about 30/40-42.
I am having a hard time with this article because if anyone has ever seen a commercial or even RTFContract of their ISP it has two key words..."UP TO."
Hearing this in the commercial "with speeds up to 5Mb..."
ISPs don't promise or guarantee you speeds as they simply can't do that. Since you are not going to get a perfect connection everywhere, bad area(old lines, etc), a place with lots of users, etc. then you would not get those advertised speeds and this is why they add those two words.
I know from the article that FCC is going after advertised speeds, but with the two key words of UP TO, can they really say anything at all? Granted, if the ISP was offering 5Mb and was purposely slowing it down to 1Mb, I see that as a call for alarm, but it does not state that in the article.
many people have commented many different things. Some that understand depression and others that CLEARLY do not. I am not bringing up facebook privacy or insurance company methods. What I want to know is how this bit(h was able to get 1.5yrs of paid leave when I, myself suffer from major depression and I have to trudge my ass into work every day? We both work for fortune 500 companies, both are at the peak of technical advancements and mine(and I am quite sure her) insurance are the best a large technology company can afford. Different insurance companies and I am in the US, but regardless. I have am the same age as this woman and I have been trying multiple different medications over the last 7yrs that make me groggy, spun out or a whole slew of other side effects that interfere with my job and above all DON'T WORK, yet she gets to sit at home...paid, or in this case, take a nice vacation. I'd like a fu(king vacation after 7yrs...maybe I WILL pull the trigger this time, THAT would be the ultimate vacation...I never have to come back.
WOW! after reading that you remind me of that wacky-ass brown-haired girl on that documentary...."Jesus Camp."
BTW, WTF does this have to do with Netflix ratings? Sounds to me like you like to hear the keyboard click, or you like to masturbate to the reading aloud of your finished post. Either way, you need help.
Well, even if you remove IE from the control panel components area you can still get online and IE is loosely built into the OS so, all you need to do is click open My Computer and in the address bar type your destination. IF I remember correctly this works all the way back to Windows 95 OSR2(or Win95b/c)
People aren't leaving Vista for OSX in large numbers, they're just going back to XP.
Vista pushed Microsoft to make a new OS after Vista.
They went back to XP because it was free. Who would buy an entirely new computer at an inflated cost just for a new OS. I have the money to do so but, wouldn't cause that is not very financially responsible.
In addition with RightSaidFred99; have you ever even called any company to file a complaint? Why not use open source? It is free and if you are technical enough I think you can figure it all out. And don't give me that "nothing works with Linux" shit. For every type of Windows program that is out there, there is an equal on the open source crowd.
Agree, I used to get Slackware like this back in the day of dial up. Pay 7$ for CD and Shipping and a few days later I have Slackware 7. I timed one time where I D/Led the software and ordered it this way, I received the CD in the mail faster than the download heh.
True dat yo! This is why I am 29 and still single. I can't talk to anyone. I am completely socially inept. At least it stops with me. Can never hold a conversation long enough to get to the part where you make kids.

...are soon parted
dude, google it. It's everywhere. "tricorder apk" in google and viola
I think Sam Kinison said it best when he said, "CBS stands for COCKSUCKING BASTARD SONS OF BITCHES!"

A TV that knows when I am tugging on my junk just so it can nark to my computers and suggest I do it more.
"...I just don't see what is in it for the people who actually buy the TVs." Consumer whores?

Same, I have FIOS 35/35 and I get about 30 on the UP, but it makes up for the 5Mb loss on the DOWN at about 40-42
Second line could read "No!? Then put it down!" If you use that line I want a free sticker :)

so, so true...I just dive into my job and drown myself in work. It does help keep the monkey demon at bay.

Just remember this though; even when the employee fscks up, it is still the manager's fault.

SSL is far more secure...
Prove it AC.

Sounds like an application for entering a Christian church HAHAHA! Catholic to be exact.

Just made me appreciate my Altima Hybrid more too.
Well, that's easy...simply, do nothing :D
