They "monitor" my BT downloads in what way? I had a full-season of Torchwood long before BBC-A decided to show it over here, and some other titles which shall remain unspecified. Never had a problem with speed, never had the CavTel goons knocking on my door . . .

  2. Re:Slashdot on Ohloh Tracks Open Source Developers · · Score: 1

I don't think he was referring to the canonical "first post", but to the first posting of an idea/thought/comment, which is subsequently repeated by somebody else. The somebody else should get the redundant mod (given due diligence in checking timestamps and allowing leeway as necessary).

And I'll agree with the GP that this Ohloh thing sounds like it came straight from a PHB.

Yeah, OK. When I created logins for the NYT and the Washington Post websites, I'm pretty sure I told them I was born in 1901, live in ZIP code 90210, and am female.

Good luck with that advertising, guys.

This comes up on /. fairly often. I can think of dozens of people who have had the same number for at least that long. Heck, my aunt in Pennsylvania has had her number so long, I remember when we used a named exchange (OSborne 5) for it. I don't get the collective perception that keeping a phone number is unusual.
