I don't think you understand the meaning of "magic.":o) Sure, we currently believe there is no way to do it... but I'm sure we are doing many things today that we would have thought impossible in the 50's even. The problem with our understanding of physics is that we don't fully understand all of it.
But it's the interest that such a statement can peak in the mind of a youth that will eventually get us to the point that we can travel to other solar systems. If teachers told us, it'll never happen in a million years, would we even try?
I saw a political commercial this morning, where the candidate was pushing the fact that their competitor wanted crime punishment focused more on violent crimes and crimes that cause or potentially cause harm in any way, to others. This guy's campaign is about punishing everybody harshly, no matter the level of the crime!! Bad guys are bad guys!!! and I thought to myself while watching this, I know a lot of people, especially older people that are just afraid of teenagers that smoke pot as they are of real criminals, that will vote for this guy for this very reason. It's really a shame. Our government just has to tell their people, oh no, we are in danger unless we have full control over your lives, and the people will give them what they want. Sure there are some that will try to stop it, but a good number of citizens in the US are basically cattle, being led by whatever they are told blindly.
I'm pretty sure it just talked of the sin of spilling one's seed... so I guess our Lord is fine with women helping themselves out, just not men... and they say men got all the rights.
Yeah, that's been the sentiment of most Linux users I've known since they started using it. The vocal ones want to be "hardcore" and they have little tolerance for those that are not. I actually put off using Linux for quite some time because I was put off by the attitudes of the vocal user community that saw themselves as elitists for using Linux while others had a hard time using it. Now those people are complaining that the company that brought Linux to the masses (and I have to say, regardless of the Fedora and Mansnake fans out there, Ubuntu is by far the most accepted general user distribution ever), they aren't happy because that's not what they want.
for real? I was being serious but I guess I'm not into retro gaming as much as you guys. I thought maybe this was a joke and the 60k people of which you speak were actually not real people, thus the holding of the money to determine how the game could make that sort of dough before being finished.
Have you seen the website for the game? I'm not sure if game development in Europe is just that far behind the times, but it appears to be something one would have played on the Commodore 64, yet they want real money for it and their website doesn't even have a real demo of it, just some weird video of what the game isn't about. Funny business indeed.
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong here, but did "Ebonics" come from Africa, or is it just some language created here in the US in some sort of rebellion against the English language? (and your answer better not be fo shizzle my nizzle)
I mean, I'm not that old, but I do remember a time before Ebonics was really being spoken by a majority of minorities. I believe the closest thing to it when I was a kid was "Jive" and I'm pretty sure the two are not one. It would seem to me that what most refer to as Ebonics today, consists of a good majority of fabricated words, usually based on words from the English language, but often created out of some need to rhyme when one cannot think of a real word that fits.
Yeah, = is just a button that gives you the result of all the numbers you've been entering separated by + signs. After you get your number, you hit + again and then enter 2... 11.
diabetics often lose feeling in their extremities, they will develop infections and sores on their feet, and often end up having them amputated at some point. I'm assuming he was at least somewhat numb from that, and the alcohol.
I'm sure that's how most have dealt with the issue. They read online that the issue is "wide spread" so they assume others have reported in groves, and Apple will take the hint. Turns out, only the most vocal of people have reported it so Apple can spin that to their advantage with those lose report numbers. I don't fault Apple for this, as you don't want to come out and say, we goofed up on probably the biggest gadget to date, although I wasn't expecting them to take the time to research all the other phones that had a similar issue.
Is immaculate spelling really a useful thing these days? There are so many online that spell words incorrectly, usually on purpose, and yet their messages still get across crystal clear (for the most part)... is this, like cursive writing, something that has outlived its usefulness? Should everything be truncated to shorthand abbreviations of the previous words in order to save time writing or conveying our messages? Will knowing how to spell 7000 words get you anywhere in life? I'm thinking no.
I agree with this assessment. If you don't like what Apple does, don't buy their products. If enough people would stop buying their locked down products, they would eventually have to stop locking them down... since the masses follow Apple like a god, it will never happen though.

That gives a whole new thought bubble when "THIS IS SPARTA!!!" is heard... :-S

How hard it is to attract a mate when you are always in the computer lab brandishing your comics and D&D books?

Casting magic missile at a cop is a serious offense! okay, I didn't RTFA or even the entire summary... but it sounded bad.
Or a devil... people worship them too.
Sorry, forgot the link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DeLorean_Motor_Company
Luckily, all the spare parts and manufacturing equipment have been sold to a company that is producing the cars yet again...
Have you been to New York lately?
