the record for morse wpm is in the mid 70's, but for competition they transmit for 15 minutes from a newspaper

    The message was

"Hey, girlfriend, you can text all your best pals to tell them where you are going and what you are wearing."

    thats 108 characters

    108 / 90 = 1.2 cps

Ms Kimberly Yeo,a 23yo business student, clocked just 43.24 seconds for typing this 160-character, 26-word text."The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human."

before you say "well there you go, you can use your specialised OSs" remember that my point was that it is all well and good for nVidia having a team of in house devs writing drivers for their hardware if one runs Windows or Linux. This is the failure of democracy, one only gets a voice in the macro. Micro politics is left to the people that are in a position to least understand the issues and can only act on summaries provided by advisors or embark upon single issue politics to the detriment of their duties to their constiuents. Add party politics into the mix and it is a recipie for poor government.

Thus, even the most dedicated, honest and ruth politician will run into trouble attempting to exercise his duty.

Consequently change comes from the top down and all we get to choose are our dictators.

wtf are you on about ?

they are source code because they need to support 11 architectures and you might want different options to the pre-compiled binaries

nearly *all* the ports have binary packages for your particular source port, if you stick with GENERIC make options

you can even install them from ftp !

    # ftp -a ftp.openbsd.org

    ftp> cd pub/OpenBSD/$version/packages/$arch
    ftp> get gcc-3.3.2.tgz "|pkg_add"

Personally I prefer OpenBSDs ports to FreeBSDs because OpenBSD will create the binary as a package so you can compile with your options once and install the package on different machines without re-compiling on each box

even better is that *some* of the optional parts also have pre-compiled packages
I was rather pleased to find the rc shell pre-compiled with readline support

    # ftp -a ftp.openbsd.org

    ftp> cd pub/OpenBSD/$version/packages/$arch
    ftp> get rc-1.6-readline.tgz "|pkg_add"

how does that makes me a whacko ?
