So if I buy a Metallica CD, and someone swipes it, Metallica gets the money when the thief is caught?
Bizarre.

Isn't it weird that so many Slashdotters think that the way to improve Africa is not to just keep giving out handouts, but when it comes to America's welfare state induce slavery to poverty, nobody thinks we should let the consequences of foolish living fall where they may!
Well crap. I posted that "HTML formatted" when I wanted "Plain Old Text". --- LANL and ORNL aren't "military" labs. They are Department of Energy labs. ORNL doesn't even deal with weapons.

Jessica the Q wasn't a drug dealer. It was her roomate.
LANL and ORNL aren't "military" labs.

It's a headline, fer crying out loud!
Headlines are notoriously not grammatically correct, and ofttimes ambiguous. "British Left Waffles On Falkland Islands" for instance.
Nevermind our tactics, just give us the convictions (oh, and the penalty money too) we seek!

Probably the same technology that Bill developed for tracking the forwarding of email!
I first read the headline as, "... Activist Dies at 180"
> Solar irradiation at the Earth's surface ...
Irradiation!!?? xomg! Nooooooo......!
Just don't cross the beams, m'kay?

They don't like open standards.
And besides, the word is "chequered".
LANL is in the firing mode right now. What would they do with 100,000 employees when they can't even afford the 8000 they got now?
Well crap. I posted that "HTML formatted" when I wanted "Plain Old Text".

.. and trans-fats.
My first computer was an Imsai 8080. We "peeked" and "poked" by flipping switches on the front panel!
At least here on Slashdot, everybody just comments, nobody reads.

Are you sure?
It seems like when I upgraded to the latest version of flash last time, it made itself the MP3 player for my web browser. Damn Flash!

...is that an old-line mining and manufacturing corporation like ALCOA was on that list.

The word is "scam", not
"scan".
New Mexico? What? Why would the United States Department of Energy put a top secret laboratory in a foreign country?
