I think you have sorely misunderstood the problems facing further space exploration. We do NOT need the fuel on earth. This is not where we need it. We have the ability to make fuel here already. We need a permanent place to make fuel (and acquire water) OFF of earth because those are the two heaviest things we take up into space and the biggest limitors to our exploring further in it.
Not to mention that asteroids are not exactly easy to get to? I mean good luck doing the maths of all those trajectories and avoiding everything else in the asteroid belt while you're at it. I thought you maybe knew something I didn't regarding that, but I am finding myself sorely disappointed.
Calling assholes assholes does not invalidate arguments. Ignoring everything else said in favour of pointing out ad hominems is some bullshit tone policing.

Promoting good grammar and educating people is never trolling. Just because you dislike being corrected, don't mod the grammar nazis trolls.
I'm fairly certain 'lefties' are the ones who advocate free speech. I'm not 100% on American politics, but here at least it's the 'lefties' supporting civil liberties.
It's the 'think of the children!' people you want to be attacking here. The ones that want to destroy freedoms for the sake of not offending anybody. I think you'll find they're right-wing.;)
Personally I would suggest CGI child porn for them, but that's deemed illegal these days as well, as it's 'too realistic', despite the fact that no children were harmed for it.
Bandwidth is not infinite, I agree. The problem here is that they aren't limiting *bandwidth*, they are limiting the amount of data you can transfer in a month. Now, whilst this is also not infinite in a technical sense, in practice it is, as there is no way you will be constantly downloading at your bandwidth cap all month long.
Basically, I have no problem with them limiting and throttling bandwidth at peak times when their hardware is actually limited and can't handle everyone's downloading at once. I *do* have a problem with arbitrary caps on data transfers. It costs them no more money whatsoever for you to continue downloading for that month after you hit the cap, so long as you do it off-peak.
They do, in fact, stop you from reinstalling programs. Both Spore and Red Alert 3 have a limit on the number of re-installs you're allowed.
Spore was originally 3 installs per purchase of the game but I think it got pushed up to 5 after thousands of people complained (correct me if I'm wrong - it may still be 3). Red Alert 3 is limited to 5 installs.
(And with the rate my boyfriend breaks my computer bad enough to need reformatting, I'm damn glad I pirated both or I'd need to buy a second copy by now...)
So go for the write-in option. Write yourself in if you can't think of anyone else but at least let them know you don't approve of any of the candidates. If you don't vote at all they'll just assume you don't care and that is not what democracy's about. Everyone's voice should be heard, even if all you want to say is 'none of the above'.
So vote for a third party. It's not throwing your vote away if you weren't going to vote for either of the two major parties anyway and who knows? It might actually make a difference.
My point was, a simple replacement of 'iPod' with 'mp3 player' would have sufficed. I am sick of the media and general public referring to all mp3 players as iPods.
Nah, you clearly don't know what I'm talking about. :)
...You know, you could have just said "I don't give a shit about further space exploration" in your first reply and saved us this whole conversation.
Wait, what?
/earth/ crossing??

You think mining asteroids is a better idea?...
I am intrigued; please elaborate.
Yep, no reason to go to Mars. It's not like there's resources to make rocket fuel and water there, making it the next logical step for space exploration or anything.

Ditto. Kind of mad to be finding out about these just as they're getting ready to remove it!
Considering he's been battling this cancer for years...I'm gonna have to say that yeah, he saw it coming.

Did anybody else read that as Santa Claus banning toys?...
Free as in beer.
You must be new here, that one's an old wive's tale.
Then I assume your face wouldn't screw up in disgust, hence not closing the page. Very simple, really.
Gimme gimme gimme.
Gief!
Ditto. :P

Been there since the start, as has the option to change your default download location....it's in the second tab of the options. :)

Or maybe, just maybe, he was trying to make a Spore reference.
