Don't call it a union. The republican political machine will try to destroy it. Call it a trade group, and fund political candidates that will fight for protections for app developers. It's a much easier path that can get support from both sides of the aisle.
I've seen some ridiculous spreadsheets. Real works of art. Iterative computations, beautiful plots. So resource intense, it will bring a modern PC to its knees.
It's a shame someone wasted their talents on Microsoft Excel.
Yeah, I use Rygel. There's even a nice GUI for it now. It's trivial to setup. However, Windows comes with DLNA support preinstalled as part of Windows Media Player (or whatever they call it now). Canonical seems hell bent on copying every design Microsoft rolls out. Even the bad ones.
I'm the OP, and I totally disagree with you.
There are stories about bugs and misconfigured computers all of the time here on Slashdot. This is a story about a large IT infrastructure being beaten by script kiddies (literally kiddies). This is what Slashdot is all about.
We live on a planet of finite size with finite resources, and it's very unlikely that we'll have the means to ship billions of people into space over the next century.
But I just invested my entire 401k in a startup building a Dyson sphere!
The app already asks for every single permission available.
The purpose of the Facebook app is:
harvest as much data as possible
bypass as many protections/ad blockers as possible
If you absolutely must use Facebook on your phone, do it using a web browser that is well secured. You won't really miss out on anything, but Facebook will.
Lithium Ion batteries tend to get hot while charging and discharging, regardless of the ambient conditions. I'm guessing the battery is liquid cooled for that reason. The ambient conditions aren't that severe in comparison.
to 'sink' 8kW into a battery in an 8 hour day, you need a thousand watts of solar. which is a single mid-size panel.
Most of your calculations are pretty good. However, I have not seen any 1000 watt solar panels on the market. Medium mid-sized panels are 100 watts. Large panels are 250 watts.
So, you would not need one mid-sized panel. You would need 10! That's a lot of area, and a lot of money. It's more difficult than you think.
The difference is the teachings of Christianity don't support those things.
Pick up The Holy Bible and read it. Once that Jesus guy turns up, things change.
Agreed. Jesus was basically a hippy 2000 years ago. No worldly possessions. Crashing at random people's houses. Advocating for the rights of society's outcasts. Complaining that The Man (Pharisees) was trying to silence him.
He was a victim of persecution. Not an advocate for such behavior.
General rule with Musk projects: Increase estimated timelines by roughly 20-100%, depending on the project and how far ahead you're talking; he always sets ridiculously short timelines for himself. But he generally delivers in the end.
People love to complain about Musk's timelines. But put things into perspective. SpaceShipTwo is still under development. We're still waiting for a mid-engineCorvette.
Getting in and out will be stepping down into it and sitting only while the carriage roof doubles as the door. Which I guess means the real question is how it will be ADA compliant.
Getting in and out of the "skate" will be done on the surface, where there is more room. I'm more concerned with emergency exits.

(when "View as Desktop Site" shows it perfectly well but in a not-nice format)
Thanks for the work around! Someone should make a plugin for that.
You are able to disable apps in the application manager. Even if you can't uninstall.

Between Snaps, Unity, and Systemd, it's like Canonical is trying to clone Windows 8.
Nor is this stuff that matters.

Someone mentioned that my writing was "pretentious" and that I was showing off.
Feel honored. They broke out the big dictionary so you would understand their criticism.
They could have just called you a "show off".
Or give people an incentive to have kids instead of importing more people and driving down wages so couples can't afford to have kids.
The data says otherwise. There is an inverse correlation between wealth and fertility rates. It's well documented, and worldwide.
There are a number of hypothesis on why this is the case. However, its basically a big sociological mystery.
Have you never even once met a *nice* Indian person? I have, many times. They, like us, are but pawns in a bigger game.
Americans and Indians have a lot in common. It's easy to underestimate the impact of British colonialism on a culture.

...the clip that you most likely heard has accentuated higher frequencies due to imperfections in the audio that were created by data compression.
Basically, the clip was manipulated.

In large restaurants, chefs don't actually do the cooking. They plan the meals, order the food, and manage the staff. Chefs are actually managers.
This restaurant likely still has a chef. Instead of managing a kitchen full of cooks, he or she manages robots.
Edubuntu used to be what you are looking for. However, it seems to be abandoned.
I found the GCompris program to be very good a few years ago. I don't know how well it aged. You should be able to install it on any version of Linux.

Maybe he asked for a pay raise like Elon's old assistant.

I'm giving them too much credit, they won't even ask...
Look at how small it is. A typical subway train tunnel is triple that diameter.
That's one of the ways they are speeding up construction. The amount of material that needs to be removed increases by the square of the diameter.

The construction of this tunnel seems to be moving at an incredible pace. How is it going so fast?
Actually, it really wasn't that fast. The tunneling started about a year ago.
