I think the point is that S Korea and SC raised it to the point of other major or moderately sports...."real" sports some might say. I don't like calling any of it a sport....chess is a game. It can be a game an it doesn't take away from how difficult or competitive it can be

We debated what a sport was on a slow day at work once. We decided "no ball, no sport". Doesn't mean it isn't hard....doesn't mean it isn't worthwhile....but no ball, no sport.

But....if portal2 feels like it isn't as good as it could have been because they dumbed it down for the console port. I am taking a hostage.

Portal is $9.99. The Orange box is $19.99 and comes with portal.

It's a shame...I had a free copy of portal that I got when I pre-ordered Portal 2 that I was literally looking for someone to give it to....everyone in my list already had it. Last week I gifted it to someone I work with that will probably never play it. Buy it whenever the price is right for you...but make sure you play it...portal is a fantastic game, with (and this is just my opinion) one of the funniest/most satisfying endings of any game ever. (storywise...the actual fight was a little easy)

It will probably end up at $4.99 in a few months. I'm sure it will go on sale at the end of the year when they do those crazy sales and I buy so many games that I know I will never play.

Do you actually own, say, 80% of the games you have installed?

This question made me think...several years back, there were probably only 2 of the godknowshowmany games installed on my pc at any one time that were legit. Quake 2/3 depending on the timeframe, and diablo 2. I made it a point to buy those because I enjoyed them so much....but anything else I stole. And I felt entitled to it. Maybe there are people that try things out...and I agree that DRM should never get in your way if you really bought a game....but I can't help but think that a lot of people defending video game piracy are just full of shit. You just want something for nothing. That's all it was to me.

Today, strangely enough, I don't think I have any pirated games on my machine. Steam made it so easy to get them that I just started buying them. Lots of movies and TV shows...a newsreader/nzb program that I am too cheap to buy...but not any games. So, obviously, I didn't grow up any...I obviously still think it's okay to steal digital content....but strangely enough, not games anymore.
