This is a good point, And a difficult one to discuss, at least in the US. At that time (and for a shamefully long time after it) the common belief was that black people couldn't take care of themselves. They were viewed either as livestock or like a (working) pet. Today, this thought is reprehensible...but it was a commonly held belief then. The GGP makes a good point too. Nobody would have agreed to it if they had demanded womens rights and an end to slavery. It just wouldn't have happened.
But if you don't believe that birth control is moral then nobody is forcing you to use it. Actually, it seems to me they are not allowing the insurance companies to decide this....but the individuals. Unless I am missing something I am as curious as the GP.
Here comes the Eurofighter love. Except even the eurofighter pilots said they can't handle the raptor at long distance. (the only way it would ever be used)
Maybe I am way off on this, but I think the embargoes on Cuba are going to slowly start loosening up. We have to reach a point where the demographic in power in the US just can't come up with a good reason as to why we are still doing it. (I am not saying that the reasons now are good, just that they can convince themselves that they are).
Well, maybe I just got lucky. Every time I didn't watch a race live (read "every time I was too drunk/hungover to wake up") I watched it later on the local fox channel.
The races are on usenet in HD pretty quickly after they happen if you care to pay for a newshost, or if you already have one.
You don't have a FOX affiliate over the air where you live? They show just about every F1 race (I don't know if they aired Hungary, I watched it live on speed)....time delayed usually, so a huge fan like yourself may not like that you can't watch it live in the middle of the night (I am assuming you live in America). However, they show "hillbilly" type sports also, so it may be too offensive for you to stomach.
I think maybe that you think you want to watch F1 races more than you actually do.
I knew what you meant. I was struck by how many people seemed to like it, but didn't have any desire to come off as arguing with anyone that really liked it.
Martin was half-joking about leaving instructions in his will about chucking the giant pile of notes in the burn barrel when he dies before he's ever finished with the last book
Unfortunately, this is probably how it will play out.
I was somewhat surprised to see so much love for it in these comments. I don't know if I have ever met anyone that ever gave it more than a "meh". I know several that just put it down.
I recalled the hobbit being far shorter than any of the volumes of lotr.....but it has been forever since I saw all of them from the same set. I have that gaudy gold hobbit and red leather lotr now (and I have no idea where either of them are now that I think about it).
I went back and found a set of them that I remember seeing a while after initially reading them (I can't find one of the ones I read)
Look at the pic that shows the spines...The hobbit appears to be the smallest one, but it is way closer than I would have guessed. Maybe we remember it being way shorter because it is so much easier to read?
Depends where you live. Where I live you are supposed to ride as far to the right as you safely can.....(and this is the part that assholes in cars don't understand)....and still be able to follow the path you want to follow (get where you are trying to go).
I have biked to work for about 4 years now. I live in a part of the US where biking to work is not really popular, but I have to admit that the vast majority of drivers really are watching out for you and being considerate. But it only takes one asshole to drastically change your life.
Since the thread isn't really about this topic, I won't go into why riding thru a red light on a bike can be safer for everyone involved in some situations.
You might get flamed pretty bad for saying that. I won't do that...but I will tell you that perhaps PC's are not currently what you remember them being. A decent machine will play any game for a long time. If you prefer consoles, then play consoles...just letting you know.

yeah, I realized that after posting. Readings be hardz.
All of them except the very last one was on Netflix when I watched them about a year ago.
Actually, that particular guys idle speculation is a LOT better than some random /. user.
You worry about iPads?

no they aren't.
forget it, he's rolling.

Ofc, the easiest thing is to ship to where you work.

They still fund NOVA....or if they have stopped it was very recently.
lack of needed "bike" paths in the US is a big problem in fact im sure that a number of folks live in areas where there ARE NOT EVEN SIDEWALKS
I thought you were talking about riding bikes on the sidewalk, because that's what you seemed to be saying. Oh well.
It is technically against the law to ride a bike on the sidewalk in most (if not all) places in the US.

I typed out a description of what DayZ was and was about to submit it before I realized what you were saying. I am a genius.
I completely agreed with you when I read this....then I realized it made sense to me solely due to NCIS.
More likely is that they just aren't(can't) looking at it that closely. Yet.
Yep it's me and him. I play tf2 by myself and he plays counterstrike by himself. It's a lot of fun.
