    And yes I was a sheep like moron for buying an HTC phone... the M8 is the worst android phone ever made.

    All the morons all over the sites for a year hyping on how it's SOOOOOOOO AWESOME...... when in reality 99% of android reviews are made by people that have never touched the damn device.

    My fault for straying from a google play nexus.

    Right here.

    google wallet is clunky to use. I tried using it several times and it always gave me fits to where I finally gave up and used the card in my wallet.

    I really hope apple figured out how to make it work a LOT better than GW does. Because having to log into the app and waiting for it to sync takes longer than opening my wallet and swiping the card.

    And here in Grand Rapids Michigan we have several places that do it. The Van Andel Institute for example is covered in solar on their roofs and their solar program is very successful even through last winter when we saw more snow than Minnesota saw.

    How about instead of wild speculation you actually look up the places that ACTUALLY have done it and have been running that way for years successfully?

    Even Michigan Tech way the hell up against Lake Superior has a successful Solar power generation system in a place where they get on average 6 feet of snow falling per winter storm and over 30 feet of snow fall for the winter.

    Yup do it every week at the local meat guy, he get's his from the local amish farm. price is only slightly higher than the cage farms. You have to just look for a good source.

    not true. Just avoid crap that comes in a box, can, or plastic bag and you are golden.

    Fresh meat, veggies, fruits, and grains have zero added salt. It's the lazy people's pre packaged crap that has salt dumped in by the truckload.

    Oh and good Whiskey... That has very little salt in it.

    Also it seems he cant bother to research things. It's been done over and over and over for the past 8 years. I think I saw a story to a "tweeting toilet" back in 2006 here on slashdot, and even then it's nothing special as others have done things like Myspace posting toilet before that.

    A burning car you can get away from if you are in it, you stop and get out.. A car that is doing 80mph and accelerating you cant get away from if you are in it. Unless you want to die with most of your skin ripped off.

    Toyota's failure was 900X worse than teslas biggest problems.

    Are car airbags going off on people as they drive? nope. If the incompetent Automotive industry can safely put explosives in the face of car drivers I think a military contractor can do the same on a larger scale but more robustly. Component failures dont fail to EXPLODE if you design things right. They are not using arduinos and raspberry pi's.

    and a projectile large enough to penetrate the vehicle and still have enough energy to detonate C4 would have already destroyed the vehicle.

    I'm guessing the article was written by someone that was just born. It has existed forever in gaming. My wife is a gamer chick and back in the 80's she had to deal with this crap.

    It's not only video games. she used to play MTG in tournaments 8 years ago (She has a 4 digit DCI number), last time she played she was harassed several times by the low IQ morons that are prevalent in society to the point that she refuses to play it ever again.

    This crap is not new, what is needed is people finding these scumbags that pull this crap on girls/women and beating the shit out of them.

    Linux was not vulnerable it was Apache and other software. running Apache on BSD, Windows or OSX would give them the same attack vector. This is the same as Outlook launching and running an executable in an email. It's not the OS it's an application that has the problems.

    Lastly it's all software that has not been updated in a very long time and is not being maintained.. That alone causes giant holes in any OS or software ever made.

    FYI: there are a LOT of windows machines out there running ancient IIS... I see code red worm attempts in my logs daily. It's not the OS, it's the idiots that own and run the machines.

    I was one of the first to get an HTC M8 and the first to suffer the failures of the device. 5 days after I first got the phone I had to send it in for replacement (lens cracking and scratching on camera that is still rampant) and I got back a refurb.

    They will never ever send you a brand new phone unless they have no other choice. They will send you someone elses borked item first.

    Nothing is really useable and stable enough. Lots of people dabbling, NONE doing feature length or even 30 minute tv episodes.

    I go down this road every year and crawl right back to the single Windows box with Sony Vegas and After Effects on it. I really wish I could replace it with a linux system but it will never exist as the open source options are still not as good as even Adobe Premiere in 2004.

    All pro and prosumer cameras record in MOV or AVCHD and if your editor can not handle those natively it is a major failure. I have no interest in spending 8 hours converting video and introducing generational losses right off the bat.
