  1. XOJO is better than it and is cross platform. Who really gives a rats turd if VB5 is released as open source. it was locked HARD to the windows ecosystem and incredibly quirky. it then compiled pseudocode to be run by the interpreter.

    The only people that want to continue it is PHB's that have some ancient apps written by other PHB's that were abominations.

    The difference is a single hold not drilled into the receiver and a couple of parts. You are making it sound like it's a completely different animal. it's not, it is 100% identical with one hole missing and a few parts not installed. Anyone with 10 minutes and a hand drill can make a "replica" into a real thing, because they are the real thing, just not finished.

    It would need to if web designers would stop making webpages into flashy bling bling crap. Honestly the moment a webpage uses node,js someone should hit the webmaster with a sack of doorknobs.

    If your website takes more than 4 seconds to load on a 5mbps internet connection, then it's designed by a freaking noob that should not be allowed near a webserver.

    Pay DAW software.... $60 for Reaper and get something that utterly blows away ProTools and Logic Pro...

    I gladly pay for software that is at a sane price and is exceptional. sadly big companies dont understand that.

    Anyone that has any education in radiology knows you dont put polonium into a tea. It's far to harsh for the delicate tea flavors. you use a black coffee or even a dark irish stout for the best flavor combination.

    I install them professionally. You buy AMX or Crestron, and have it installed and programmed. BOOM non cloud based home automation that works fantastically.

    This has been the case for well over 30 years now, and most rich people have been enjoying it.

    Non cloud based reliable stuff has existed for a long time now.... Dirt cheap home automation for poor people? That is a new thing from the recent decade. and "cloud" is how you extract money from those poor people unwilling to spend $20K on their home automation system,

    Buy an 80% complete AR lower. ZERO serial numbers. easy to get all the rest of the parts and brain dead easy make it into a full auto M16.

    Luckily those that want to break the law are usually way too stupid to understand basic machining and tool use and will not be able to complete a functional M16 from parts.

    The Local cabelas have several AK-47's that are modified to be semi-auto on the shelf, and they even have an AR-50 sniper rifle as well as Gen 3 night vision scopes.

    I even recently bought a Siaga 12, a semi auto modified version of a full auto 12GA shotgun. Perfect for home defense or even sandblasting when loaded with bird shot and a 30 round drum.

    Yes I do, you lie cheat and steal it from poor people. Yes that is EXACTLY what all these companies do. Workers are exploited at unfair wages and work hours, pricing set to the MAXIMUM that people will pay, etc...

    You get really rich by being an asshole, or winning the lottery with blind luck. Those are the only TWO ways of doing it. Nobody ever got rich by working hard and saving money.

  22. Surface at it's pricepoint? yep. I bought one used from a student that was desperate for money. got a nice 128gig surface pro with all accessories for $150. at that price it's a fantastic device.

    At the $1600 price point.... it's a failure.

    Problem is todays programmers cant actually write good software anymore. It's change the UI and add features not fix all the bugs and tighten up the code so that it runs 25% faster.

    They dont even teach decent code optimization anymore in colleges.

    Almost everywhere is safe. there are tens of thousands of flights a day, one in a month is odds I'll take. It's better odds than me being killed by some moron in a SUV on my drive to work.
