    They already try DLC... it sucks... Mass Effect II has DLC and ALL OF IT is utter crap. It does not add to gameplay at all.

    Modern Warfare II, the DLC is also crap. the added maps are a joke for the price you pay.

    Make the DLC worth while at a reasonable price, Or make the game Free to begin with.

    A $80.00 game that I then have to buy DLC for does nothing but piss me off and not buy any other game your company manes.

    You get a 10% discount on your service if you dont get a phone? AT&T gives you no difference in monthly price if you brought your own phone, or got one of their subsidized ones. It's the same monthly cost no matter what.

    Honest phone companies would make a BYOD phone plan 15% cheaper than getting the phone from them for only $99.00

    No it's not. Even the $500.00 you "finance" with the 2 year contract on a iphone adds up to $20.00 a month during that contract.

    They make money of overcharging you for data, SMS and talk minutes.

    Smartphones guarantee them the $25.00 a month data charge that is nearly free money to them. You will know when it starts being less profitable when you see them up the rates for the data plans.

    News flash, most of us have known about motorola's evilness...

    I knew they were evil in the 80's when they refused to release specs on some of their commercial radios... they even would grind off the chip numbers simply to screw with radio hackers and ham radio operators...

    embedded platforms got that way because the idiots in the Executive offices should have ZERO input into the design of the product. It's those assholes that demand locking it down and adding in features to keep the customer from gaining any extra value from the product. It all started when the scumbags made 1 product and sold it as 3 different products with 3 different prices but only software unlocked features...

    you can buy the pro model that has 3 zone of audio... Yes it's the same hardware as the base model, we just enable everything in there.....

    Kind of like windows 7... it's all in there, just not enabled...

    Motorla razr you can load mp3 ringtones...

    Verizon motorola razr, mp3 ringtones are not allowed unless bought through the phone and installed with the phones installer. the files can go there, but the ringtone DB is never updated..

    verizon loves to screw the customer, they do it all the time...

    But then so does AT&T.... Most AT&T branded nokias are missing 1/2 their features.

    AT&T does not offer a iphone plan that is $20.00 a month cheaper if you buy the phone outright... With most carriers, they happily rape the customer...

    Because they hate the customer... AT&T really hates their customers.

    accidentally? Not really unless you short something out or plug power into the wrong plug they are not easy to trip accidentally. they are easily tripped on purpose though... I have fired off a lot of them, great for launching things into the air...

    you know how easy it is to rig a airbag in a steering wheel to trip via remote? I did it in a smashed car for a indie movie... the car looked perfect from the drivers side, we towed it to a car lot on a sunday and rigged the airbags to fire along with a couple of them under the car.. to make it look like the cars on the lot were all dangerous... salesman taking about how save the car is, slaps the roof and the airbags go off...

    Then dont buy it. Hell spread it far and wide that you WONT buy it and why. How it has a self destruct built in.

    Give the Droid X a major PR black eye and suddenly companies wont try this crap again for a while...

    Honestly, non nerdy friends do listen to us when we say, "oh god no, dont buy that, it has this major problem with it"

    Better yet, all domains are rejected unless it has been up for 1 week. If the server receives a single email from that domain, let it through, if it get's 20 ro more, bounce them all. All email servers treat all domains as suspect and let in 1 email from the domain an hour until it's proven to be good, then allows more. Instantly Blacklist any new domain heard that has more than 10 emails for the customer. Instant blacklist if any email from that domain during the probation triggers the spam filters.

    Come on guys it's not that hard to stop this crap.

    You dont need your record in the stores. Nobody buys music they never heard of in CD form from Walmart.

    Airplay? Get off your arse and get it out to small stations. you will NEVER get airplay on the clearchannel stations unless you pay them to play it. But if you get airplay on all the smaller stations that are dying for something the big channels dont have... you spread like wildfire.

    Get someone with real talent to shoot a video, get people to shoot "bootleg" videos at any concerts you play, get it on youtube and elsewhere. Get it out there. MARKET MARKET MARKET....

    Distribution and self publishing is easier now than ever before.. Only really lazy people say it does not work.

    Why not add 2X2 framing inside, spray with self expanding foam, trim, drywall/panel.

    If you lay the roof with 12-24 inches of foam insulation you also increase the efficency of the design massively. In fact wrap the whole house with foam to isolate the metal structure from the elements. you can even stylize it with foam and simply paint it. Many commercial buildings are done that way.

    simple, you call and ask your college if any transcript requests have been issued. Michigan State also send me a letter every time someone requests my transcripts or validates my degree.

    Let me guess, you are one of those types that does not keep track of who is gathering info on you. I even get notified when someone pulls a credit report on me. (Right now they cant without my permission due to "locking" it at all 3 reporting agencies.)

    you can also ask Lexis/Nexis for a report of all requests for your information.

    No it's not. a Windows dev is a dime a dozen. A linux, QNX or other embedded systems Dev is far more expensive.

    They dont want robust, they want cheap; and windows + a cheap outsourced dev = greater profit.

    I have. Lots of brands will have a switch to disable the Write enable line on the Flash disk. you can add one to a stick if you are good with soldering.

    Problem is most photo kiosks I encounter has the USB ports utterly trashed. As well as the CF slot trashed.... Typically by clueless soccer moms smashing the thing in there.

    It's why I bring a SD card with the photos, the SD slot seems to be more robust and is typically less trashed. I find the Sams club Kiosks more trashed than the Costco ones.

    He also claims he knows computers yet does not think of setting up his own VPN gateway at home? It's clear he is not moving there, just going there for a few weeks. Nobody I know terminates all their leases and sells all their stuff to go out of the country even for a few months....

    Pay $9.95 for VPN service each month, or set up a linux box as a VPN point. Call it done.

    I find the opposite. I have had only one background check and that was for a secuity clearance. I have never had an employer even validate my degrees or my work record.

    Both small startups and fortune 10 companies... It's rare they actually check education and work history. But then I used networking to get to know people on the inside first and was offered jobs instead of applying for them.

    I'll take their taxes and free higher education over the mess we have any day.

    Even if they quadruple my taxes, it's still far cheaper than what I owe for my education + the interest I have to pay. Only a complete fool thinks the USA system is better than elsewhere. Paying 4X my current taxes for 40 years will be cheaper than my student loans.
