    I use the Roku... you do know that there are devices out there that you can plug into HDMI and your network and dont have microphones and cameras in them.
    I also use a Raspberry Pi running linux and XBMC/Kodi that does not spy on me.

    But only a PHD can use my TV set for I have 3 remotes... and that makes people cry in the corner in terror. It's probably why I don't have friends wanting to come to our house anymore.

    none of the Console makers and game makers will embrace it. Honestly titles like Rainbow 6 Siege and others would benefit from supporting 3D quite a bit. But when I started researching why they dont I found it's because none of the Current Gen Consoles have enough horsepower to do 1080p 3D smoothly.

    So you will NOT see the PS4 and the Xbox One doing VR. it will have to be a platform upgrade to get there. Hell a high end PC that costs $3500 barely runs a rift smooth enough to not cause puke fountain and headache.

    It is if my firewall is set to never allow any traffic from the TV set's mac address to leave the LAN.

    If you want privacy, you need to educate yourself in the use of technology that empowers you.

    Just wait. Everyone thinks the Republican party supports gun rights..... Just wait for them to decide that armed citizens are not good for their masters.

    And there wont be a huge fight. Here in the USA we gleefully gave up the 5th amendment to protect us from the boogymen of terrorisim. the 1st and 2nd amendment are also on the chopping block and will go down with unified support in congress.

    It's just going to take time and the rich have to start feeling afraid of the poor having guns.

    Want something sinister? manipulate the common flu to mutate rapidly and spreads easier. Imagine catching the flu that never ever goes away, you can cripple a country's workforce rapidly. If you never get away from the Flu symptoms your work output drops dramatically, productivity drops dramatically, etc...

    let people report a spam call number easily. once you get 15 different people reporting the same number block it system wide. Honestly it will take down the whole spam calling industry within 30 days.

    But knowing how telcos work, they will monetize it and sell to spammers a service to have their number forever whitelisted.

    Actually the biggest threat to space exploration is Congress. NASA would have double the budget if they were given only what the military pays for air conditioning TENTS overseas.

    WE spend such a miniscule portion of the budget on space it's embarrassing. Give NASA 10% of the military budget. OR we need to declare war on mars to get the full military budget in line.

    Americans are more interested in killing people than science and exploration. This is a solid fact proven by looking at the last Budget released.
