those companies who use the Microsoft Open License Agreement or other license arrangements from Microsoft. Getting a preloaded system means they have to pay for Windows twice!
nothing is going to happen to Motorola. Nothing happens to any company which violates consumer privacy rights. So they may loose some small customers, no big deal to them, they were going to loose that many anyway. There will be a lot of yelling here, but nothing is going to change except some some dealers are going to be taken to court and put out business, but that doens't matter to Motorola anyway. Heck once the "you have questions, we have useless answers" store turns over their list, we all will be known anyway since we all got our clueless cats.
well in the light of these events, I think Proctor & Gamble should sue PETA. Afterall Proctor & Gamble is often called P&G and PETA has a domain called pginfo.com.
Every November we have an opportunity to change the way the US Government works by casting our votes for various elected officials. Yet time and time again we go and same the crooks back to office. NOTHING WILL EVER CHANGE THIS WAY. By re-electing these officials we giving them a pat on the back and saying good job every time. If you do not like the laws which are passed then vote to change them. If you do not, then you have no right to compain!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That their patent could be interpreted as to cover hyper linking, but from the wording of it, it sounds like it may be covering anything which can be deemed a terminal (ie including a PC running Windows, Xwindows, MAC Desktop ect) in which you use something to represent something else (Icons) which may or may not be on the local terminal as long as it uses Public Telephone lines to locate the resources. Kiss PC-Anywhere, VNC, Carbon Copy, Xwindows Terminals goodbye unless it is overturned.
Or did his statments about decrypting a DVD make it seem like your not even allowed to play one? Afterall, your DVD player needs to decrypt the movie in order to put it out to your screen....
I like to buy CD's when I get the money for one. Why? 1/2 of my reason is for the cover art, the jewl case, lyrics ect ect which you can not get with Napster. What I would like to see is the price of the CD's dropped to a fair price. I think a lot of the Napster users would be willing to pay $8.00 for a new CD instead of $11.00 - $20.00. Let's be realistic here. Spend 1/2 hour to an hour downloading a entire CD or pay the $8.00 for it? I would rather pay the $8.00. Also I could easily picture a time when music is released on a pay per song basis. Heck, I wouldn't mind paying $0.25 per song in the mp3 format. Then I only have to pay for the songs I like or want to hear.
Compaq had out some time agao a PC which was an all in the monitor style unit. My cousin had one, it was a 486sx/16. This unit was one of the first to come out with that case design (I don't remember who it was that had the very first one).
Maybe the increase in voilence is proportional to the increase in the number of people?
I would think it would be reasonable to figure that if there is a 10% increase in population, there would a 10% increase crimes, a 10% increase in the number of people effected, and a 10% in the nature of the crime (ie instead of fist, use a knife, instead of a knife use a gun).

I wonder if I could train a "smart" dog to have dinner ready for me when I get home?

But since the Executive and Legislative branch appoint the Judicial branch, it would only take time before they could change the outcome.
Any place which is giving you that much of a hard time about purchasing something does not deserve your business.

Also being from NJ, I remember that one as well being on the news.
