    You forgot i see that Mantle is still proprietary closed source software. So they couldn't use it if they wanted to. AMD claims they will make it open but when that will happen is at best a guess since any time AMD sets a time table they miss it by least 3-4 months.

    Cn anyone reasonably argue that having a system highly secure for non-technical users with easy workarounds for actually technical users is a bad compromise? The people who are not technical need all the help they can get.

    Keep on drinking that nasty ass koolaid apple serves. Mac OS X is no more secure then windows. Just more people look for windows flaw due to more dominate OS in the world. In a lot of ways Mac is less secure cause takes Apple So damn long to release a patch to fix a problem.

    Apple's strategy is to make their software run like ass on older hardware to force people in to upgrading as much as possible. Sad how some older mac laptops are supported better by MS then Apple who made the f'in thing.

    Apple let rumor slip they were gonna use Sapphire Glass and signed a contract for xxx amount in prepayment. They decide not to use the glass and now the stock which rocketed up now tanks so company files for bankruptcy. So now Apple pretty much owns the company for a lot less then what they would had top pay? Something to think about that this could been an Apple ploy to take the company over for a ton less then what would of?

    There is nothing saying Apple doesn't already have your passcode. They claim they don't know it and can't unlock it even with court order but really how true do you think that is? They can unlock your phone and can see EVERYTHING stored on your account, this is just PR to make it seem like they can't which is a lie.
