Well any country you do business in you technically are subject to the laws of that country so even if they are based in china but operate a regional HQ or even a small mom and pops size store you pretty much subject to same thing. They can't go and take said servers but they can serve a warrant and make the company turn over the data.
I would rather get one the tiny boards from company like AAEON you can drop a super low power i3 or i5 intel haswell cpu in to. Yea cost more then this but it will play anything I throw at it. Its pretty easy, all they gotta prove to the court is the ISP is allowing piracy to happen on their network and not taken any "reasonable" action to stop it. As for what is reasonable is the question. If court finds they haven't done enough then they can be held financially liable for what end users do. They tried it against google for videos on youtube, hence how they got backdoor access to delete shit with almost no oversight.

I think the problem is they are charge ass-in-nine rates for only handfull of minutes, When its clear the don't pay even a fraction of that to company you roamed on. Its clear cause how easy they will drop the charges with almost no fight a lot of the time.
Pull your head outta your ass for 2 sec and understand the problem, the new pay for employee's gets pasted on to customers a lot of them are ones making that 15$ an hour which makes their wage increase less helpful, plus if company wants to minimize the increase in their prices they have 2 options, stop hiring or fire some people. doing massive pay hikes ends up doing as much or more harm then it help's and turns in nothing more the something politicians use in their coming campaign

Um the problem with that assessment is you assume it will open more job's and not kill them since now company has to pay more out per employee, which to make up difference means raising prices which in turn raises cost of living. As I said kill job's cause now people want a job in the city but will travel outside the city for lower prices cause people paid less hence problem just compounds itself and ends up killing job's in the city and people are right back to needing multiple job's.
