Another good way to avoid Infringing On Apple's Patents, Just don't even make a device cause no matter what apple will sue claiming infringement to block competition.
um in world of big corp lawsuits, its only pocket change to people at apple to pay court cost's and really don't stop anything as usually its what few hundred $$.
it is definitely an outta the box way to try to get a job but when you" threatened to reveal confidential company information". That is fire that you are playing with if that company just decides to file charges. But even finding a flaw and telling them about it can be bad like that one guy in Australia i think it was, he found a hole told the company about it, kept the info on the hole off the web. They turned around and sued him for the money it would cost them to fix it.
The pirates have little cost except servers and bandwidth and every incentive to steal. It's still theft whether you agree or not. There's no debate on that issue. It doesn't matter if you respect intellectual property, when you don't pay for it legitimately, it's theft. You can equivocate all you want. That's your moral hazard and you have to live with yourself. Just don't whine when they arrest you.
So if the DRM in the game f's up my computer or I use something like origin and my account gets banned, so all game that were legitely purchased now are gone. That is the biggest problem with these online services. If your account gets banned all games you bought on there are now gone and there is no way for you to play them or recoup your money.
as i read the main article, "he use of “employee” in this article is actually inaccurate. In the court papers, PhoneDog claims Kravitz was never actually an employee; he was a contractor. Unless his contract specifically talked about the twitter account," he wasn't an a regular employee. he was a freelance contractor. So they have 0 so that changes matters a lot as he had a set length of time to be there and then left.they wouldn't have him start a twit account if they knew he was there only for a short time.
Kinda depends on what they are suing the employee for, like if said employee stole few million bucks then general public won't feel sorry for the guy/girl. But in thee kinda cases they no matter if phonedog wins the case they will lose as Most people following that name will just stop following it and they are left with a few thousand at most followers that probably not even paying attention to the tweets anymore
"While there, he started a Twitter account (of his own volition) with the handle @PhoneDog_Noah to tweet his stories and videos for the site as well as personal stuff about sports, food, music, etc."
Right there says to me it wasn't a account solely for work he started and used it for his personally things as well as promoting stuff he wrote for them so they shouldn't be able to take it from him.
Most new products come out and they don't even know they violated patents for years in most cases cause companies that hold the so called patent even know they could claim anything til years later.
No one would looked bad if they didn't sue the guy, since this story wouldn't even been published but when they filed that suit against him now everyone knows how much of A-holes this company is to a person that saved them a massive PR nightmare.
What if Microsoft did this today or even years ago? I don't think they would got off Scott free like apple does on this crap where they limited their software.
i gotta 2nd that say you got an old Athlon XP, Pentium 4, even old Celeron that don't have PCI-e, With this card that only uses like 30 watts using hardware video decoder you got a use outta an old PC.
I will admit I hate apple, but all I see when I read this story is just Samsung firing back at Apple over the fact they got Samsungs phone and tablet off the shelves in a few EU countries.
Is the fact apple lied to a German court and submitted doctored images to keep the galaxy S off store shelves. So now Samsung decided to play the court game to and Apple is now crying foul of the rules they used in the game.
just depends on when they applied for it but i put 1000$ that if this was granted today, tomorrow apple would suing anyone they could over it wanting their product off the market.
yea, they are stomping on freedom of speech when they removed this game from their store, using their rules to suit their own purpose or to stomp a compeditor.
Look at MS as been aggressive at fixing things since XP, even providing free security software. Also look at end users MS has been for most part educating end users that they have to do preventive measures to keep their computers safe. Mac users generally think their OS is safe right outta the fox. I know i will be called a troll for saying this but its a fact and Leo Laporte for people who know who that is pretty much said that and yes he uses mac most the time.
I remember the days when apple play commercials claiming their OS don't get virus's, malware, etc. Now we see these story's weekly proving that all the load of bull apple claimed about their OS was nothing more them a lot of S

what in the world is a CD? some old tech that is not pontless anymore like an 8track or VHS tape?
It will be before apple is suing to get this taken down? Since they seem to be suing anyone they can now days.

What it sounds like everything hosted there will be a cloud type system, so if 1 machine dies you won't even notice.
