This is not necessarily true. A more correct statement would be "it leads to a monopolized market, which is only as good as the monopoly supplier allows it to be."

If a monopolistic company provides excellent service, low price, and a good product, then there really isn't a problem. A lack of competition doesn't necessarily stifle innovation, either. Look at Bell Labs. ;)

If I snack, I have to make sure that it is not the stuff that comes out of a vending machine. What I typically do, or would like to, given the amount of self-control that I have on certain days, is to eat half the sandwich for lunch, wait a couple of hours, and then eat the other half of the sandwich. That way, it ensures that I am never too hungry, but also makes it so that I don't overload on things that will make my brain flighty.

Another helpful thing is exercise. If I keep to a regular workout schedule, I find that my blood sugar is better regulated, and that I am able to really concentrate on things.

Sitting around passing resolutions about whether you are happy about something or not, is really quite useless. If I said "it is illegal for you to argue on /.," how would I ever enforce it? Would I actually expect you to abide by it? The UN, as an organization, has no meat to it. It was easy for Iraq to just say "no." Essentially, Iraq threw the gauntlet down, and said "what are you going to do about it?"

Do you know what the UN did? They whined. There was no action, no movement of force. Perhaps this was caused by the corrupt nature of the leaders of the UN, or just because the countries were just paying lip service to the problem in the first place.

The God of Judaism is the conqueror and king, the God of Christianity is the compassionate and forgiving ruler. "This is the new testament of my blood, which is shed for you for the forgiveness of sins." There is nothing in the old testament that even comes close to that face of God.

Work computers are there for work. When you own the computer, then you will have a right to say something about its use or not.

This is also not a ploy by MS to suck you in. I know that the company I work for would rather have every business application run out of a browser. The reason is that it simplifies the work we have to do, because it minimizes complexity. We wouldn't have to deal with setting up each machine with a certain database driver, a specially mapped drive, and we also wouldn't have to ensure DOS compatibility. Duskwood has a great little storyline too.

The history is there, the game is fairly rich in content. The problem is that the quests are hardly ever read, so it amounts to "go here, kill this, come back and I give you stuff."
