Herp a derp, while you live in your republic, we got some republics for your republic so you can be all republican and republic. Go away, communism hasn't achieved much so it's not that big a threat, dickhole.
The only ancient alien I've ever seen is an old Mexican dude that used to panhandle in Downtown Detroit, but not much anymore. Otherwise, ain't no getting over the relativistic arguments against FTL travel, so any argument over who or what might be living out on all these predicted exoplanets is an exercise in futility.
Add in the clueless security model that Microsoft uses, where anyone and everyone can gain superuser privileges on the OS, and there's your recipe for disaster. Implementing browser functionality that runs random scripts with elevated privileges on a whim is another problem. Please tell me, how does this get successfully executed on a platform with adequate system security principals in use, like Linux, BSD or OSX?
Eliminate the need for antivirus software and you might have something going for you. The lack of security on Windows and other software that MS peddles, and the need to pay the equivalent of protection money to keep MS software safe ("Pay the antivirus companies, kid, or the computer gets it.") are the chief reasons why I stay away from MS as much as possible. The fact that no one there seems to recognize this problem for what it is and can get it corrected seems to me to be the biggest problems they face.
They've managed to prove the lead hypothesis that was presented in the very beginning of the Mike Judge movie, Idiocracy, that "the stupid breed at an alarming rate" compared to smart people. From my viewpoint, some of the smartest people I know are atheists.
I was a Marine corporal stationed at Camp Lejeune w/ 1/6, 3 months away from my EOS. I had just gotten back to my barracks room from the Dental unit, getting my last checkup and a cavity filled, when I turned on the TV to find the count down in its last couple minutes. I thought, what the heck, slap a tape in my VCR and record it. Imagine my horror to know that I had captured the event live. I was working for the battalion S3 shop so I carried the VCR and TV, on foot, the quarter mile across the parade deck to that office. Nearly all the officers and senior NCOs that worked in the building stopped in, the battalion CO included, to take a look at what happened that morning. If I look hard enough, I could probably find that tape in amongst some of my stored belongings.
Yes, no clue from someone who has watched MS since the late '80s, when they were still producing Xenix, had hijacked IBM's DOS and called it their own, the DR DOS debacle, the bad treatment of WordPerfect, Novell, et alia, the payoffs to SCO, and now they're suing to help out their customer, AT&T in defense of a lawsuit in which MS has no firsthand involvement. Why did MS stop selling that TV? Could it be that they weren't seeing the customer demand for their own products that other companies like TiVO were? My disdainful comment stands, gents, sorry.
I say Steve Chuang is a money-grubbing bastard who steals money from his customers for a service they wouldn't need if everyone would migrate away from Windows and the closed-source hegemony. So there.
I continue to wonder who still takes Sara Palin seriously. She's a painted up china doll paraded in the face of the American public in hopes that the sheeple will look at her while the puppeteers are busy further ruining our democracy.
We got bought by this rocket manufacturer right here and we promised them that, with our legislation, they'd get all the business from NASA. Now, NASA is tossing a monkey wrench into the whole works because they want to consider other rocket manufacturers, and our feet are being held to the fire to deliver on what we promised. We can't let NASA just select any old rocket manufacturer or we'll end up in cement shoes at the bottom of the ocean.
This is what is called innovation. This is people doing different things with your Kinect device than you had ever dreamed of yourselves. Sorry you didn't think of it all yourselves.
I type medical transcription on a laptop to make my living. Thankfully I'm past the age where I'd want more children. Bonus would be if I were still attractive enough to catch a little action on the side -- no worries with a low sperm count! ROFL!
Which certainly isn't considering all options. A Microsoft only option leaves out a huge portion of the market that might be able to come up with a cost savings and a more secure solution using a free software infrastructure. How is it good for the economy and the U.S. as a nation sticking with a single vendor?
I certainly have to laugh at the timing of this move. I pondered a moment how effective a call to my elected officials might be at midterm election time, then said to myself, "FUUUUUUUUUU...."
Broadband prices won't decrease because it would cut down on the profitability of the carriers. I just called my cable provider today and told them to stick the TV service, but we're keeping the Internet feed until they price that out of an affordable budget. I can get everything I ever did via the 'net now, so no worries.

It's not April 1 yet, is it? This has to be a joke.
Praise "Bob"!

Well, I've checked several companies and their plans, and the best I've got is what I use now:
T-Mobile:
Unlimited calls 24/7, unlimited texts, unlimited internet for $45 per phone, 2 phones
Phones cost us $60 each.
Again, no brainer on this versus a smart phone and compatible plan.
Every cell provider I have ever contacted in the U.S., where else?
Smart phone: $200 to $700
Data capable plan: $120 to $250 monthly
Dumb phone: $50 to $100
Simple plan: $40 to $80 monthly.
Um, what the fuck, do these phone companies think we're all multimillionaires?
I thought the First Amendment to the Constitution prevented the government from limiting speech in any way, shape or form. I guess not.

From the Redmond monopoly. Microsoft can't compete on the merits of their products so they use bully tactics. How typical.
That'll bankrupt companies like Microsoft, won't it?

Especially since the looney left will ask all the hard questions, which Shrub will avoid by saying, "It's in the book. You should read the book."
I wouldn't expect him to actually answer anything that he could be indicted for with the actual truth.

Who's buying what? Does it matter? No? Okay, back to sleep now.
