...basically Xandros (with CNR) with a Wubi installer? (since it's windows only at the moment)
Why not just ship them an Ubuntu disk, it's cheaper...:D
... and have access to 50Gb to 100Gb dowload speeeds. But there are some parts of the world (and bits of the UK) that are still on the "Slow" end of the Broadband party (and are lucky to get 2Mb download speed)!
Imagine trying to download a DVD image of a game (roughly 8Gb) using a 2Mb connection! It would virtually take you a week of constant downloading with no breaks! The average UK user has a download limit of between 2Gb to 30Gb a month! If they are lucky they can get a game a month if not it's a game every 4 or 5 months!!
I can see it now!
If Pirate Bay wins, every one will start sending the Music bosses "A bunch of pansies" with a note saying "Sorry! for stealing your music. Hugs and kisses The Pirates":D:D
best way to destroy the data is to open the drive casing, wire the platter motor to spin constantly,
take out a sheet of Wet'n'Dry sandpaper.
Place paper on metal spinning thing till it goes dull and scraped. Remove top platter and invert. Rinse and repeat for all sides of the remaining platters.
all these posts and not ONE OS X / Mac-Fanboy joke!! not even a "They did have a backup solution: they prayed to their God Jobs every night to protect the data" Or "Apple servers are to cool to corrupt!" Come on guys! i know it's Friday night but you can't still be hungover from New Years...:D:D

I'd go one step further... What if I install a 240v Magnetic coil around the door frame? Would it wipe the drives if they were taken through it when its powered? or would I just end up with fried pork?:D
How much does it cost to lay, install and Admin a fibre network for the city?? Say $30 million (rough, plucked out of thin air made up figure). TDS come along, and being the concerned citizens decide that the Fibre network is too much for the city so they sue them for $28 million. City settles for $15 million. So now TDS has been given a $15 million discount on setting up the Fibre network... = Profit....
Did they try the Rouge Admin's office. It's probably that beige box under his desk...
Either that or he made up the device and it does not exist, he's laughing at them ripping the place apart trying to find it:D
