If you *DON'T* tell the police your passwords for encrypted files / folders when arrested / charged then it's an automatic "Go directly to jail do not pass GO and do not Collect $200" for up to 2 years (or untll you tell them the passwords!)
...If the reason for the Delay in fixing the bug is with purely commercial...
Think about it.
MS probably own a fair whack of shares in most of the big AV vendors. MS tips off the vendors of the exploit and they find a way to mitigate the effects (not fix the problem).
The Vendors then use the month or so between MS scheduled updates to panic the masses that they need to renew their AV subscription to help with this new virus attack.
Once they have milked the masses for a month or so of re-subscriptions, MS then come out with a patch.
Simples...;)
Oh? Is it me or has their been a lack of reporting on HOW the drivers got signed?
Was it an inside job (Ochams razor says yes) or has someone worked out a way to spoof or recreate valid digital signatures... (The paranoid in me says yes.)
Think most makers (Including Nokia) will still be using Symbian on their Mid to low end mobiles for years to come. If they would just drop the disaster that is the S60 GUI (Well I think it is) and build a decent GUI for Symbian it might stick around longer..
Ain't Car Dealerships tied by Licence / Contract restrictions to only sell one brand of vehicle in a single store?
That's why you tend to find a group of dealerships (e.g. Ford, Toyota & Ferrari) owned by the same company in a single location, to get around it. (Well that's the state of play in the UK)
Same thing can be done with iTunes, Have a separate "iMarket" based on the same iTunes framework for other Devices and OS's.
If you get a new phone! all you need to do is link your new IMEI and remove the old one. It's more secure and pushes things up a notch legal-wise if someone tries to spoof a IMEI!!
If 1 cook makes a good Broth, then many cooks should make a better broth. But in reality the more cooks you add the worse the resulting Broth becomes.
Same with this question. The only relevant fact is what sex will the second child be. which is roughly 50/50. Well probably more close to 49.5 / 1/49.5. (The 1% is to give leeway for dual-gender birth defects).
The more data you add to the question actually clouds the answer, which is counter-intuitive to the way most people are taught. (so more data does not equal a better result).
Sticking an old HDD in the freezer over night to recover data is an old trick that works with spinning platters.
As for condensation... i used to use packs of "silica gel" to sit the drive in when it was in the freezer and wrapped in paper towels when it came out.. that stopped any liquid forming and creating shorts...
it worked in well over 100 drives i've recovered in my time.
the fact that there's a lot of glass and metal required in making standard panels they take a bit of time to make and are a bit bulky to store and transport.
Up against being able to print a couple of square yards of solar panels in under an hour or so.
..Don't let "Hallmark" get access to this or we'll be stuck with those annoying greetings cards that play stupid messages forever & they will never stop!!!
But since this case was in the UK....

Think it's more like Linux users will be able to use "open source" programs to play Blu-Ray disks legally.
As it stands, it's illegal to rip/copy the Blu-Ray to another format for storing or viewing.
However this ruling makes it legal to break the encryption just for the purposes of playback. (The intended function of the disk is for playback).
But what do I know! IANAL!

It's a continuation of the US's "Security by obscurity" policy.
Just feel sorry for those that sold their 3GS's to afford the iPhone4... ^_^ lol

Guys this is apple! So it's not a hack or flaw!
Apple is taking the hassle of you actually wanting to buy things. Let Apple (Or un-approved 3rd party) decide which apps you're going to buy...

Quote:"I have two children, one of whom is a boy born on a Tuesday. What's the probability that my other child is a boy?"
He has 2 kids:
1 Male
1 Unknown
So possible outcomes: (0=Male 1=Female)
0,0
0,1
(Note 1,0 is the same as 0,1)
So probability is 50%
Case closed...

Because i hardly ever need my keys when I'm sitting in front of my TV...
Also my house key is on a longer chain than my other keys so i can easily find it in the dark and while drunk....
Also if I'm ever chased by an mad axe-man I won't have to fumble around to get the key for my front door...
