Gels are worth it, especially when you are working outside in cold weather. Gels - even dollar store specials - have ZERO issue with it being -40F. Actually, they do better at -40F then +80F.

I don't understand what the obsession with going to Mars is. Frankly I think Venus is where we should target our efforts. It has an atmosphere (albeit hazardous to human life) and is about 20% closer to us then Mars. Granted, Venus' atmosphere is about 97% CO2 but I would think that it would be a lot easier to bioengineer something which would survive and thrive in the Venutian atmosphere while changing the CO2 to Oxygen.
Shouldn't we be happy about this? I mean, they aren't even TRYING to attack a regular surfer, but only one who comes through google images. That means they are trying a pretty limiting technique which I presume is because that all other methods will not yield as good results. To me that means people are getting better at this anti-virus thing.
I agree 90% is pie in the sky, but I think netbooks will become even more huge as time progresses. Computers have become a commodity item, and with so many people on the move they want their stuff with them. City wide wifi, huge storage capabilities, the cloud, Chromium, iPad (although I think it won't really be crazy good) and smart phones are all pointing to one thing. The end of the desktop is nigh, and once you leave the desktop the game gets *REALLY* wide open.
Am I the only one that is chomping at the bit to play with Chrome OS on an older (5-10+ years) system? I have Lubuntu on my old P3 and it flies - relatively speaking.
Why certain critical vehicle systems would ever be allowed to be electronic without NASA level testing. Safety critical systems like steering, brakes and acceleration should never require electronics to controlled properly.
Top Fuel dragsters do a direct drive and most dragsters (other than Top Fuel) use an automatic. Too much momentum is lost doing a shift with a manual transmission and manuals are slower to shift then automatics.
Most, if not all, of the F1, Indy & NASCAR vehicles use stick shifts, and the facts about Manuals vs Automatics is bang on (+1 Informative if I had mod points) but not *ALL* race cars use manuals.
..adds further performance improvements to the new Tracemonkey Javascript engine. One of the major goals of the release was to improve startup time and general UI responsiveness, especially the Awesomebar.
Call me when you get in the ballpark of Opera & Chrome.
And the issue is what? Seriously. So no major overhauls until FF4, continuous minor updates both feature & security wise. This is what Microsoft, Linux, Amarok, Opera nd others do. Why would Mozilla be different?
Mountain out of a molehill. Start worrying if Mozilla stops talking about FF4.
Note: I know Amarok isn't in the same league as the other three up there, but I was going over their changelog yesterday and there were some pretty big updates done on a minor point change. Finally looking like it's back to all the functions of 1.4.10. Now if it would now get stuck scanning my collection at 49% I'd be gold
So you're pissed at linux about Moonlight not doing Netflix well? Shouldn't you be pissed that Netflix doesn't ensure their player works on Moonlight, and therefore linux?
Hear, Hear.
I work as a mechanical / industrial engineer and at both my current job and previous one good legacy documentation did not exist when I arrived. All knowledge was tribal and therefore we all prayed that nobody got hit by a bus. I'm slowly getting things into a usable (for the next person) position but overcoming a decades worth of stuff is time consuming. At least I know the next person will be able to find stuff.
Yes, she is a ceremonial monarch, but her assent (correct me if I'm wrong) is required to convene Parliament in Canada, Australia, and the UK. She is the Defender of the Kingdom, the head of the Anglican Church, and all the UK, Canadian, and Australian armed forces ceremoniously answer to her. Also, she does possess that veto power, but I suspect that if she ever had to use it, there would not be a Constitutional reform movement because most likely the situation would have been so dire that her subjects would agree with her actions, and therefore guarantee no reprisal from any Parliament.
If the queen ever tried to veto anything passed here, I would be one of the first ready to sack Rideau Hall - and I LIKE the constitutional monarchy. And I think a lot of people feel the same way.
Mod parent up.
Reminds me of a old saying around here: Make it idiot-proof, then they'll build a better idiot.

Same boat. Epically sucks.

I'M AN IRON MAN!
Sorry, not enough coffee.
So you're complaining that UNR, Moblin & all exist and that you have to choose which distro to install?

Sweet - I didn't get Nukemodded with an INTENTIONAL flamebait subject line.
It's a good day.
Actually I have nothing against Firefox - I just find Opera & Chrome superior.
Call me when you get in the ballpark of Opera & Chrome.
But it's ReactOS + the good parts of Wine. How about DistilledOS?
Can we have version names like 'Copperhead Road',"White Lightning' and 'Revenooer Man' please?

Because we need someone to look crazier than Scientology & PETA?

Has anyone seen Keith Richards lately? They might have stolen his brain...
Then again, would anyone notice?

And I think I might just buy one of these: http://shop.canonical.com/product_info.php?products_id=440
You'd have to be both petty and highly incompetent as a manager to do away with it.
Explains the last company I worked for....

I think when anything is inspired its almost always obviously better to any observer than the uninspired variety.
I do my best designing, drafting & tinkering when inspired.
