Bisphenol-A is not found in plastic articles that are made of polypropylene (PP), HDPE, or LDPE. Those of you swigging from that bottle of FIJI, NYC Tap, or that can of Jolt need to wake up and check your sperm count.
Every software company that has an 'idea' will file a patent with the knowledge that the USPTO has so many idiots working for it that it would grant a patent for a 'character-based communication system comprised of a graphite based inscription utensil and fibrous, cellulose based, recording medium'.
""But there are business reasons why we can't sell it in the U.S." The main one: The Fiesta ECOnetic runs on diesel.'"
The above statement is crap. The real reason they won't sell it here is because the engine is manufactured in the UK, apparently the cost for the engine is so high because of labour rates, and the rest of the car's bits are made throughout the EU. Which means they would get slaughtered on the exchange rate and couldn't sell the car here for less than $25,000 US. If that inbred hick in the Whitehouse would get off his ass and do something about the dollar's poor performance relative to the Euro, we wouldn't be having this discussion.
"If your boss doesn't understand your job enough to describe it in technical detail, that boss is in the wrong job."
This is something that many people I know in the industry, at all levels, feel about those who make the decisions. Given that commonality of thought, does that mean that managers are truly clueless or that IT personnel are simply the type that don't cry out for recognition and simply expect recognition from management for the contributions they make?
Citect is not the only SCADA software company out there. They have a large market share, yes, but there are many other companies that author software for this market. This 'buffer overflow' affects only Citect software and none of the other company's offerings are affected. Yes there are some fools out there who will connect their systems directly to the `tubes, but there probably aren't as many as you would think. There are probably some vulnerabilities in other vendor software as well. But you know what, take a deep breath, take a break, and watch the blinking lights.
The BBC article, as well as the OP, are quite devoid of additional linkage. Anybody have anymore on this? Don't be a smartass and point to Google or you'll be the first one tossed into the LHC singularity.

How about a midget cow?
Sorry. I should have added the sarcasm notifier (~) after the end of the sentence in the original post. My bad.
Who only decrypted Nazi radio traffic. Those people at Bletchley Park who spent untold hours decoding fragments of Nazi radio traffic probably saved hundreds, if not thousands, of Allied lives. To allow such a place to fall into the state of disrepair that Bletchley Park is currently in, is completely disrespectful to the sacrifice that those who served there made.
BZZZZZT! BAM! Crackle...
Merd!
I find your views on investing interesting and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

Virtual /.!
I've had virtual sex so many times I'm desensitized to that now, too.
You should be more concerned with EULAs on food. Yes, food.

Of reading /. eighty characters at a time intriguing...
a more wretched hive of scum and villany...

Except for the fact that it would be dark at your moonbase for nearly two straight weeks at a time, solar power would be great.
Thanks to AC, we have some more detail as to what this fossil bed reveals about this ancient forest:

This is..

You have such a limited imagination...

That this story hasn't been picked up by the major network's (CNN, Fox, MSNBC) websites yet. It's three bloody hours old.
That's 'bollocks', mate. You'd know 'em if you had 'em.
