What do you mean, I thought they just directly manipulated the holographic representations of the data to move them from one device to another. Are you telling me that's just a fabrication for TV?
Big difference. Science looks at reality and tries to make predictions about it. Mathematics doesn't give a damn about reality. It just produces logical conclusions based on axioms which may or may not be in any way related to reality. A true mathematician doesn't care.
In fact, there's a professor in mathematics at a Belgian university (I think it's in Gent) who likes to say things like "every now and then somebody calls me up to tell me they've found a practical application for my work. I always feel that's a bit of a pity."
It would be kind of fun if SpaceX could send some people to the moon as a kind of test flight before going to Mars, to make sure everything is working. If they can take enough fuel to get to Mars, they should be able to pop over to the moon and have enough left over to come back.
Efficiency is about 98% of classic panels. Not sure when Elon said it, maybe it wasn't in the actual announcement, but I saw it mentioned in several places, for example here.
They can also contain a heating element to melt off snow, which is nice for cold climates. Gain in production strongly offsets energy needed for melting snow.
Well, it's not like this is the first time a system thought it was near the ground while in fact it wasn't. Turkish Airlines flight 1951 just to name one.
It can, yes. EIther install Windows on a bootable partition using Apple's Boot Camp (works just like any other Windows compatible computer), or use a third party VM to run both OSes simultaneously.
YOU CAN PRY MY CAPS LOCK KEY FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS!

Funny how, even though the Model X scores low in reliability, it's at the top of the list in customer satisfaction with 92% saying "definitely yes" when asked "would you get this car if you had to do it all over again".
So it looks like the poor reliability is not that big of a deal.
Well, if you see them coming in demanding everybody unlock their phones, just quickly take it out, unlock it and turn it off. Takes about 3 seconds. Then when they get to you, it's too late because the phone will now require a password which you don't have to give.
Doesn't work if you're the first one they ask, of course.
I don't think they would mind quite as much if the stuff was labeled "Apple compatible". But if you sell a "genuine" Apple charger, it had better be genuine and not a knock-off.
One thing I disagree with, is the statement that "when you just invite the good guys to help you, you will always be safe".
The white hats will find some vulnerabilities, the black hats will find some as well, and those two will overlap (increasing your security) but that still leaves those bugs found by the black hats and yet to be found by the white hats. Which will be plenty.

It is not in L2. It orbits it with a 250,000 mile radius orbit, and thus never gets close to the Earth's shadow.
So then the earth does not shield it from the sun's infrared emissions, contrary to what the summary says. Or am I missing something?
No, mathematics are an art, not a science.

According to a response by Elon on Twitter, they will sell matching non-solar tiles so you can put those on the shaded sides.
Yep, confirmed by Elon on Twitter.
The tiles can incorporate a heating element to melt off snow. Problem solved. (According to Musk on Twitter, energy "strongly net positive")

Now whenever an ESA scientist wants to talk about the Schiaparelli crater, you can ask "which one?" to shut him up.
Kill the wall, humans, vote Hillary

Wow, you're good!
Right, use a passcode that you use every time you take out your phone, giving plenty of opportunities for others to see you type it.
I, for one, welcome our new flying Tesla overlords
Hey, but 62% accuracy... that's 12% better than me!

Do you seriously think the pre-written material doesn't have a few if-then branches in it?
If it had been a Belgian probe, we would have laughed even harder. You obviously don't know any Belgians.

You mean companies have to pay the white hats because otherwise they will take their white hats off and put their black hats on? Hmmm, makes sense...
