  3. another "great" idea on Weird Al To Release Songs As He Records Them · · Score: 1

However once you get down to it its either been done before or is reapplication. I'm sticking to the first one after all some mass produced music hits music videos or radio (with an accompanying iTunes plug) before cd. Just like in radio days itwould hit radio then cd.

  4. The crime simply shifts indoors on Newark and the Future of Crime Fighting · · Score: 1

The crime will move indoors until they put cameras inside every building. Drugs can be sold inside a building and prostitution does not have to occur on the street. The only crimes that could see a reduction are random acts of violence (muggings and the like) and theft (physical theft of oranges jewelery and the like) which police in the street could prevent. Just hire more cops.

  14. What's the point? on Startup Building Floating Data Centers · · Score: 1

I can understand being able to move the data center around but why not but some cheap land and just build infrastructure for the center (these are supposed to be permanent anyway). Surely that is cheaper then buying a ship and the upkeep (not to mention that the boat could sink. Also dock space is still a form of real estate with rents that fluctuate, obviously dock space is also limited.
