As an owner of an iPhone 3G who previously owned dozens of different phones from all possible manufacturers (SE, Nokia, Siemens, Motorola, HTC, Samsung, just to name a few), I have to say that iPhone is superior for two simple facts:
1) It is, BY FAR, the most intuitive and easy-to-use-out-of-the-box phone I have ever used.
2) It is fun to use. Sure, all new phones are fun in the beginning, but after 2 weeks with this phone I still enjoy every time I surf the web or write an eMail with it. Something that never happend to me with any other phone (and not with any of the same generation competitors of the iPhone).
So yes, it has many downsides, Apple are bastards when it comes to their control freakiness but their products are better.
"A muslim state until 1948"? Where did you come up with that crap?
Palestine was a small insignificant part of the Ottoman empire until 1921, then a Brittish mandate. Before that it was also a Crusader kingdom, part of a few arab kingdoms and before that it was Judea and Israel.
As for those "700,000" - What about the 800,000 Jews expelled from their homes without their properly from Arab states in the late 40s and early 50s? Or what about the fact that of those 700,000, most ran out because the Arab armies told them to "clear out the way" in order to remove the jewish state? or the UN decision that said a Jewish state should be built side-by-side a Palestinian state in 1947, a decision accepted by the Jews and rejected by the muslims?
I could go on liket his but somehow I get the feeling you are one of those who do not let history and facts get in your way.
You should realize a few things...
(did you know, in reality as opposite moonbat's mindsets, that in the geneva conventions civilians amongst whom non-uniformed enemy fighters are located, are fair game and can be killed. The decision whether or not terrorists are amongst them can (only) be made by a field commander, in short, every bomb short of a nuke would be perfectly legal to shoot into a mass of afghan civilians)
Interesting, seems like the UN (and actually, the world), convinientlly forgot about that when Hizbollah was firing rockets into Israel from inside civilian areas by people wearing civilian clothes.
The same kind of forgetfullness overcomes them when civilian-clothes Hamas/Islamic Jihad fighters fire on soldiers from inside seemingly "peaceful" demonstrations, using the other civilians as human shields.
I know there is plenty of discussion about the whole "big brother" aspect, but this is already implemented in practice in Japan, the US and probably a few other countries I do not know about.
So whats the difference if the EU gets it too?
"The designed lifespan on the current generation of batteries is 3-5 years"
Emphasis on DESIGNED.
Tell that to my Lenovo Thinkpad X61 battery that died after 6 months. Or to my IBM Thinkpad that died after 17 months.
While we are looking at your list, and before we complain to Ford, HP and the likes, what about the US Government?
As far as I can tell from that list, a hefty chunk of addresses sit comfortably at various US Government agencies (8 of those, if I am counting right). Same goes the 2 held by the UK government.
Only if we go watching his next movie.
Luckily, salvation is relativley easy - abscenece (or just watching re-runs of Raiders of The Lost Ark for good measure)

Any direct links to naked chicks photos?
Without reading TFA, anybody got an explanation to the shameful stealing of Johnny Five's design in favour of this movie?
Monty Python lawyers are on funny walking their way to you as I write this message. They should arrive sometime after ulysses dies.
Yes, one. She was there to help with the heavy lifting.

You dont have to work hard to find examples.
Just go to youtube and type "hizbollah firing". The examples are numerous

Funny. I would bet you that not one but many said the exact same thing about the crazy unrealistic ideas of some guy called Jules Verne.
The church burned at the stake those who claimed that the world isnt, in fact, revolving around the sun.
Keeping yourself to "whats real" is a different way of saying that you are not willing to deal with the possiblities of what you know.

It seems all religions have this "teenage period" at about the same time after their conception.
And like all teenagers - They are rebellious, generally unhappy and feeling like the world does not understand them.
Judaism had it during the time of of the 1st and 2nd centuries BC (about 1000 years after its creation).
Christianity had it also more or less a thousand years after its creation (middle ages).
Same goes for the muslims.
Only difference is that the later this stage comes, the more advanced the weapons and tactics used are.
I wonder if we should be really afraid of what happens in 850 years, when the Bahai http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bahai reach this stage.
Is called Dov Moren http://www.eetimes.com/disruption/profiles/moran.jhtml who is the man behind, among other things, the Disk On Key.
This has been his top secret project for the past 2.5 years. I think that there are great things to expect from it (and no, I do not work at Modu).
Which once again reminds me of what is maybe one of the best short stories ever written (IMHO), Spider Robinson's Melancholic Elephants.
http://www.baen.com/chapters/W200011/0671319744___1.htm
With every new RIAA related item I get the feeling that Robinson was more a prophet than a sci-fi writer.
