Generator fuel wasn't a major contributor to the collapse of WTC7. The sprinkler system had not been engaged because it wasn't fully automatic, it required action on the 1st floor and WTC7 had been evacuated well before debris struck it. Additionally, firefighters had a problem with water pressure when they went into the building. Likely the building's pumping system or water tanks had been compromised at some point. This all means that the fires in WTC7 burned uncontrolled. A collapses was inevitable.
> Many other ex British countries have turned out significantly better for the average citizen, eg Australia, NZ, England, Scotland, N Ireland, & Canada, free medicine and all that.
Then there's Afghanistan, Egypt, India, Iraq, Jordan, and Pakistan.
What do I mean? Basically, that the items of highest value in most MMOs cannot be obtained through player-production and in-game trading. In a subscription MMO (eg. WoW, Final Fantasy XIV), the most powerful gear will normally be obtained by players through skill-based team challenges (high-end raiding or PvP). Once obtained by a player, it is almost always locked so as to be untradeable to other players. A second tier of good-but-not-best gear is usually available via a pseudo-currency (tokens, honour, whatever) that is rewarded in fixed proportions from performing repetitive activities (daily quests, dungeons etc), often with a cap on how much can be earned in a week, and which can't be traded to other players. Consumable items are still crafted and traded, but the trend in MMOs has been to downplay these over the last few years.
Crafted gear in FF14 is frequently the best or second best option assuming you have the patience/money to acquire the item and meld it. Crafted accessories are flat out the best option for tanks. The fact that the best gear can't be obtained on a market board shouldn't be particularly distressing in an MMO. That gear is the way to let people know that you are able to clear the toughest content in the game.
In the Wild West most people wouldn't hunt down an individual that wronged them. They'd report it to the sheriff who would post a wanted poster which would attract bounty hunters to go hunt down the criminal.
And as far as this soylent stuff is concerned wasn't it proven that supplements aren't very good and you need actual food to be healthy? Absorption rates of supplements aren't good from what I read and they should be used to supplement an actual healthy diet.
Why do you think he's making such questionable choices regarding dirty fuel burning ways?
LEDs are more expensive but they also have a higher potential lifespan than incandescent or CFL bulbs. They also have a lower power draw so unless we don't see the lifespan that they promise LEDs are probably a cheaper cost of ownership compared to incandescent bulbs. They do have the higher capital cost, as you pointed out, but that means more that it prices them out of the range of lower income families who will be forced into the higher cost of ownership CFLs.
deciding to make WWI worse and deciding to corner Japan into having to fight back.
Woodrow Wilson (a democrat) was President when the US went to war in WW1. He was also one of the people that decided to go for more punitive measures against Germany during the peace treaty. Republicans did control the Senate and did block ratification of the League of Nations.
Presumably you're referencing the Japanese being backed into a corner prior to Pearl Harbor. I would like to note that the President at this time was Franklin D. Roosevelt (a democrat) while the Democrats held majorities in both the House and Senate since 1933 when FDR was elected.
Attorney and lawyer are oftentimes used interchangeably but there is a difference. A lawyer is someone who has studied law. An attorney is someone who practices law. You're allowed to practice law in any jurisdiction in which you've passed the bar exam.
As a lawyer you are qualified to give legal advice but you need to be an attorney to represent others.
I once screwed up my staging. I used to separate and ignite engines simultaneously.
I got confused on which separators and rockets were together. I somehow had my command capsule separator in the same stage as my tower release for launch. I was very confused on the launch because I couldn't figure out why I had no control over the rocket.... and then my capsule blew up as the rocket reached enough speed.
Last I heard the price per foot of track is $125 so it's going to be around $132m lay the track. Grading, earthwork, tunneling, and anything else that needs to be done to prepare for laying the track would cost extra.
The Potomac is 24ft deep at the mouth. The USS Wisconsin, which is the closest battleship to the Potomac, has a draft of 36ft. However it would be worth noting that DC is likely within the firing range of the mark 7 guns of an Iowa battleship located in limited parts of Chesapeake Bay. I'm not sure if those parts of the bay have sufficient depth for the battleship.
Let's posit for a moment that New Horizons (launched January 2006) did just overtake MH370 (disappeared March 2014) and the lost plane is actually on an escape trajectory out of the solar system.
Then losing connection with the probe isn't a big deal. We'll just whip up another one add in the propulsion technology on MH370 and we'll have another probe at Pluto in about a year and a half.
It wouldn't cost much money at all. In fact a number of industrial machines where the users need to get to an area that can be dangerous during operation to load or unload the device can use a simple visual sensor and mirror to detect if any object has entered the enclosed area and require a button on a control panel outside the area to be pressed to resume operation. I'd be surprised if the manufacturers of equipment don't include it or something like it as a standard safety feature. Our laser cutters use it. It's simple and effective to ensure that no humans are in the enclosure during operation but it also may not be effective or work depending on how and what types of maintenance needs to be performed. In the case cited by the article this was a repairman or machinist doing something to the robot that was outside what a standard employee would be subjected to.
Yes, practically all nations with the German culture are given the western technology group. You don't start getting into the eastern or Islamic technology groups until you hit Poland or the Balkans.
It doesn't seem like Microsoft is selling Bing Maps to Uber only some of the underlying tech. I imagine Uber has been courting both MS and Google trying to get some sort of map technology for their business. It's a great business decision on MS's part. There's a high probability what they're selling is not at all risky for Microsoft and they may have also be receiving up front payment which puts the government threat to Uber as a non-factor.
Self-insurance will require that some amount is set aside and cannot be touched thus it will be available should the insurance be required. This means you're locking up a sizeable amount of your assets where you can't get access to them. The people that can afford to self insure are not the majority of Uber drivers.
North Ireland and Scotland weren't colonized.....

EVE lets you place bounties on other players.

File it for everything you import.

For comparison.....
The US used a 57mm towed anti-tank gun in WW2.
As if we need more bridges to no where.

If those damn actors, directors, and writers would just stop making movies then we wouldn't have this problem.
And I totally have a hot supermodel girlfriend in Canada.
Is her name Alberta?
Does she live in Vancouver?
Does she cook like your mother?
Does she suck like a hoover?

I'm happy as long as one person catches the reference.

First we need to develop time travel technology that lets you go back in time.
