To be strictly fair. These two individuals, of which one is now dead, are still only suspects. The FBI better hope it has the right two people otherwise there's been a serious fuck up.
And this is ignoring the issue this article bring up, that with a newly-consructed pool of currency with much fewer users, it is much more prone to currency manipulation than dollars or euros.
That's huge to me. If DDoS attacks can be utilized to wildly manipulate the value of a currency, how can the currency have value?
You need to stop using the word 'value' in place of 'cost'. You discussing Bitcoin in an economic manner. Value and cost are two words that are defined in economics. Don't blame others for misunderstanding you because of your inability to communicate properly within the context.
Cost is what you have been describing and that references what goes into producing something. Bitcoins have an intrinsic cost which is the amount of electricity necessary to perform the computations to mine a single Bitcoin. An intrinsic cost cannot be recovered. I cannot take a Bitcoin and get back out of it the electricity or computing time that was expended to create it.
An intrinsic value of something is what it can be immediately redeemed for and this doesn't mean in the exchange of goods. In other words, the intrinsic value of a bitcoin is the amount of bits on your harddrive that can be redeemed from using it or functionally valueless. Paper currency, on the other hand, has a value of whatever you could use the paper for, be it a note to write one, insulation, or kindling for fires. Gold has an intrinsic value of things like gold plating connections in electronics.
So repeat after us. Bitcoin has no intrinsic value. It's only value is what others perceive it to be which decides how much of a good you can get in exchange for a single Bitcoin which is about as far from intrinsic value as you can get.
Omerta lets you do this when you get too much heat from all your gangster activities. If an independent illegal business has Warm relations towards you, you're allowed to rat them out to the police to stop the investigation against you.
No, we're there because China started a war. And their proxy in that war (North Korea) insists its still on.
We're there because the person who was in charge of the war there was an utterly incompetent general who decided that charging towards China's border with Korea with an army was a sound idea that wouldn't ever possibly provoke a counter attack that would lead to a split nation.
IF there had been a strong military response to Germany's actions from the beginning, it's entirely possible that they would have been deterred from their further aggressive actions. But Chamberlain tried to charm them, in the foolish belief that Hitler's Germany was fundamentally reasonable and rational - they were not, and numerous voices were warning of that at the time. Unfortunately, the rest of the world paid the price in blood for Chamberlain & the other appeasers' unwillingness to act quickly to neutralize a clear threat to the security and stability of Europe.
It wasn't just entirely possible, it was a certainty. The earliest blitzkriegs performed by the German relied on France not wakening and attacking Germany. If France had conducted an invasion at any time up until the Germans were assembled for the Battle of France they would have defeated the Germans. Instead, they ended up with nearly 2,000,000 POW from an army that started at a size of about 3,300,000 and thus perpetuated the French retreat meme.
The confession must be made in open court. What I would ask is if a confession recorded in a police station and played in a open court would qualify as a confession in open court. It's most certainly at least evidence but since the confession itself was not made in an open court I would assume it wouldn't qualify.
Mass Effect (series) is not a game that is easy to compare against the rest of the video game landscape. It has a static plot but the story of it extremely mutable since decisions carry over to ME2 from ME1 and from ME1 and ME2 to ME3, the story is going to be different based on all the decision points that have been made. For example, Mordin can be alive at the end of the game or Wrex can be alive at the end of the game (or both can be dead) but it is impossible for both the characters to be living at the end. Even though there are four endings to the game the outcomes and the impressions that you have as a player are going to be vastly different based on these choices. A red ending where you healed the Geth/Quarian fracture is going to leave a much different impression than a red ending where you made decisions to hurt/damage the Geth (since the Geth are destroyed by the red ending).
This is much unlike games that offer multiple endings where the choices you make lead to that ending. The ending tends to be catered to the choices so the story is still quite static despite the choices.
This has nothing to do with fucking with your customers. It's retail and there's multiple boys on the yard selling the exact same thing. If you don't give the customer what he wants he'll just go to another retailer. So if your retail employees make a habit of trying to convince customers that they don't want what they want, then those retail employees are going to get shitcanned for building up the reputation of not giving the customer what he wants.
At which point the customer gets mad says "I want this AAA title." and you sell it to them the manager catches you got the customer mad and shitcans you. The other hand is the customer gets mad, storms out and goes to the other big box retailer who sell them the game then you get shitcanned for driving the customer to the other retailer.

You'd be comparing against a null value. Everything is greater than a null value.
The conflict was inevitable. Appeasement increased the magnitude of it.

Also, treason requires the testimony of two witnesses or confession. An audio recording can never cause a conviction of treason.
