The real news is that 10MBPS for $60 is going to be replaced by the 50MBPS for $150. Of course the 50MBPS only runs at 11MBPS and has a 50 megabit/month quota after which it's $15,000.
They did with the old $370 analog plan. Now they're doing it with the $1200 HDTV plan. Customers still flock to them. It's not like U can just leave Calif* and find a job somewhere else.

Maybe it's because we're more invested in the success of corporations through the stock market than any previous generation or because corporations reach farther into every day life than ever before, through the internet. Except for Microsoft, there is more love, trust, and belief that corporate decisions can do no wrong in lieu our own personal judgement than any previous time.
Instead of writing specs in essay form & expecting someone else to translate them into software, why can't these guys just write the spec in the form of the software to actually implement it and then rely on someone else to optimize it?
