Frailer bodies have more difficulty in producing and maintaining the required body heat. It is easier for a younger healthier person to keep their core temp up. Blankets only go so far, and an older person may not be able to keep warm enough.

There is also the awareness to get some extra blankets out. They may go to bed feeling fine, but then have hypothermia set in over night. At that point, you start to shut down and you aren't thinking too well. More than likely, they would remain where they are instead of getting up to find more warmth.

Verizon worked to set up quite a bit of DSL / FiOS in my area. As far as I know, we were one of the first areas to get FiOS. There was a bit of begging and probably some tax breaks involved. We also removed regulations to make it easier for companies to add service. Verizon's FiOS service has been amazing and I haven't had any trouble with it. Unfortunately, Verizon has sold all of their lines to Frontier. Since Frontier is smaller, they are having trouble negotiating TV prices, so there is going to be a ~$30 rate hike. Their internet services are still great, though. I've never hit a cap and have not once noticed any throttling.

Make sure that your Facebook profile and any groups you participate in are wide open for all to see, especially people who may have trouble with the freedoms you are taking advantage of. This isn't the women being forced into their own group, it is them requesting privacy from their male counterparts. This is a step forward, not back. By having their group be private, they are moving away from oppression.

Physical backing does very little for money. I often wonder if people like gold because of its properties or just because it is worth a decent amount of money. The main reason for physical backing is that your savings are less likely to be devalued. I would argue that the value of something like gold is just as fake as the value of a "fake" currency.

I really hope that the main titles are at least a bit different than their PS3 counterparts. The talk of how easy it is to port a PS3 game has me a bit worried. I really enjoyed God of War 3, MGS4 and Uncharted 1&2, but I don't want to play them again. I don't mind new game experiences for the same IP, but they need to be different. The main reason I didn't get a PSP was because the games seemed to be lesser versions of the console games. The specs do make me excited for what is possible. I have a feeling handheld gaming is going to cost me a lot this year.
