I have a reseller account with nocster, and it works out pretty cheap. I split it with one other person, we each pay $15/month. But the best thing is WE CAN HOST AS MANY DOMAINS AS WE LIKE. So I got 1 domain, he has a domain, and we share another one. Plus my little brother has been wanting to make a website, so a $8 DNS registration and bamn, he gets some space too.
We get 1gb of disk, and 20gb transfer. This is the lowest option, you can get a lot more.

There is no great computer interface, they all pretty much suck somehow. Someday we'll figure it out, but to say it's an open source problem isn't that fair. (Even if open source is sometimes behind some non open source projects)

Does this include open source projects? Aren't these the guys who released an apache hole a while back without telling them because they weren't a small cohesive group (or something like that?)
If I can get JUST the ads that I might be interested in, that's a good thing. I would love to give out all kinds of marketing info if I would only get stuff that interests me. (assuming the total amount of advertising I receive would go down)
I don't need to know about womens clothing (not into that), or vinly siding (I rent).
There's sooo many people who would love to go into game development, there isn't really a need to specifically train people. Those who want it the most, will learn. It's hard enough to find a game job right now as it is, If we were spewing forth graduates with a BS in GD (Game Design) then what would happen.
But I'm happy making educational software... it's more fun than business apps, is mildly morally rewarding, and doesn't require 60 hour weeks like I'm sure a lot of game shops gave.

I'd like to see this study with 10 windows vs. 10 linux servers, or 100 vs. 100... one linux admin can handle WAY more linux servers than 1 windows admin.

Is it just me, or does there seem to be a lack of quality PC games lately. I used to go into my local Software Ect. and instantly find half a dozen games that I just had to have. And now when I head in I'm lucky if I find one. Maybe I'm just getting old. Kind of sucks... graduate college, get good job, can pay for more games than before, and don't want to.
The funny thing is... my Fiance who *doesn't like video games* has found several in the past year that are good for her.
Have there been any real good stratedgy / tactical games out lately?
and I say go Tom! This is one guy I'll vote for... (do we vote for atorney general? doesn't matter, Tom for governor!)
Besides, if we can spend 100's of millions of dollars a day on the Big Dig (largest public works project ever) we can kick out some cash to fight microsoft.
Lets add armor and weapons to these things and we got autonomous robot wars! Personally, I've always wished that those robot-battle type shows on tv were autonomous instead of remote controlled. Now THAT would be a challenge.
I have heard of sumo challenges where robots try to push each other out of a circle. Anyone know any good info on those?
But then again... Maybe I wouldn't be so quick to put my laptop in something about to face a 200 pound robot with a diamond tipped blade.
I thought the trademark was on "Microsoft Windows" not just "Windows". I mean really, if I trade mark something like "News for Nerds. Stuff that matters." I can't go on and claim ownership to "Stuff that matters", or "Nerds" can I?
Way I see it, there are 2 things that need to get done. 1) Policy change. Only production machines on a production network. 2) Topology change. Make it easy to get a non-production network connection so people don't violate #1
