Agreed, the only thing that sparked any interest from that list was GRUB2, which isn't really even on the list, just some crappy fancy nonsense theme thing for it...
Me and GRUB have never gotten along, but maybe me and GRUB2 will...
Aside from that, that list is just a bunch of Gadgets/Widget/Nonsense... im not sure why the Editor/Poster just didnt do a write-up and link to http://code.google.com/soc/2008/ or something a little more diverse and interesting.
1) It was an obvious joke. 2) WTF does coding have to do with flying a fucking plane? 3) And yet its ok to make fun of males who:
- Can't Cook
- Can't Clean
- Can't Sew
- Can't Decorate
- Has A Bad Memory
- Doesnt find anything special about ponies/puppies/kittens
- etc, etc, etc...
And no i was not the AC... I'm sick of females like you giving femanism a bad name... equal rights, and pay etc, doesnt mean all males all over the world have to immedietly stop making remarks about how good or bad females may or may not be at something...I was about to go into that rant further, but then I decided to look at your message history...
She was 13... what 13 year old girl (or boy for that matter) doesn't have emotional issues?
Thats a very unstable and impressionable stage, where shit like the pencil you use in school seems important.
If the case was another 13 year old, I would be rather dissapointed that the charges stuck... however she was/is 49 years old, preying on a 13 year old... thats, just flatout fucking bullshit.
How very true, because we all know that the USA and Syrian, are the exact same government.
Irregardless of that, I was rather dissapointed to find that, on an article that potentially could have been worth reading, would have quite easily have fit into the summary in its entirety.
Well, technically, a meteorite carrying anything other than itself, is a spaceship.
It aids in shipment of matter via space travel.
Its just highly unlikely that its a "space craft" unless of course, there actually is a tangible god, then theortically its likely a craft, by some means of intentional creation.
It's important because it would be our first chance to essentially witness the demise of a once habitable planet, its along the same lines as the immense amount of energy spent on trying to figure out how, where, and why the dinosaurs died.
Its all very interesting, even if for day-today life, its really quite insignificant. Especially considering the same effects that have happened to Mars, could very plausibly happen to Earth aswell even if its not for many more millenium (Millenia?)
And building bases on Mars wont really destroy all the information instantaniously, only dismiss some methods of gathering information.
Great, now that you've highlighted it, I can simply say "read the bold part again"...
250,000 was the "estimated" (past tense) of the earthquake in 1976. It does not say wether this earthqaue will match, surpass, or even be a tenth of that...
10,000 seems to be the consensus so far, although I would imagine that may climb to about 12,000 or so dependng on what rural areas were hit, and what buildings housing however many people still need to be investigated.
Work?... except for what appears to be one customer (?) just before the quake, none of them are working... she's busy cleaning her ears with a napkin, two guys are just blankly staring out the front windows... the manager (or similar I would assume) is just trying to look like his job has a purpose...

Is that really so hard?
No... its not funny, its not insightful, or interesting, im just bored.
No, what it means is, NASA gives The Discovery Channel permission to wander through their current archives, enhance what they need/want to to make their documentary video, and NASA gets an improved version of some of their (already archived) footage, at no, or little expense to NASA... this saves NASA having to do it themselves.
Much like BearRanger said (up there ^) It's a win-win all around...
Hmm... I think a more appropriate correction would be: "The x86 Revolution Is Still Driving The Evolution"
Because "Revolution" is a change of ideas, an "Evolution" is a change of fact.
Evolution, as far as passing, or discarding various mutations in the parent animal onto its children, may be a "theory" (to some)
But the evolution of processors is a fact, because its entirely documentented exactly what changed, how it changed, and why it changed by hundreds if not thousands of individuals.
A nice "boom" (boom) here and there is quite nice, much like a train whistle, further, I even enjoy a Semi air horn, or the Jake Break as it comes down a large hill...
But, considering an airport like J.F.K. has some 800 flights a day (excluding ocean/international ones)... it would become very annoying, this is of course assuming that all public flights had adopted super-sonic methods...

Perfectly legitimate measurement, if only you had specified what model and year of Volkswagen Beetle.
And a new endeavour for engineering students to try and hang 236417 Beetles from a bridge.
Oh of course, a "femanist"...

This is Slashdot, not FemDot.
Mhmm, although its "funny" to laugh at them now, and I agree that its excessive (although its a Gun Show, so thats expected)...
When Martial Law breaks out, you'l be wishing you had made friends with them...
Write Said Fred... is a physicist?
I'm too sexy for this comment.
Nah, when he's in the bathroom, he's taking a shit, pissing, or picking his nose, which is universal and doesnt matter what country you are from...
"I don't have time to mess around at my local Barnes & Noble and browse books..."
I suggest you re-prioritize your life if your life doesnt allow an hour or so spent in a bookstore, then worry about finding books.

No, more like a sexually transmitted parasite.

use a french accent and pretend like yer learning english.

Male: "Souffler Le Travail?, nah... how do you say... May I l'Insertion?

"Worse, call the layers"
Which layer? does Mono have a self-destruct layer?
using System.Microsoft.Infringement;
public static void Main(string[] args)
{
If (Patents.Count > 0)
{
ForEach(Match match in Patents
{
Console.WriteLine(match.patentname + ": " + match.patentcode);
}
}
}
Error Buffer Overflow
Yeah, yeah... you meant "lawyers" I know... and I dont code in C# so it might not do anything anyways...but... "call the layers" made me laugh...

Is it just me, or is the spelling getting worse in this spam?
Perhaps its a pre-emptive measure against the the whole "string blocking" thats been suggested by some...
Or I need some sleep...

Remote desktop perhaps?... but that would require two NIC's... but, it would probably be the closest to a closed loop...
Yes, and its the people who ignore these smaller impediments to liberties that allow the larger ones to happen.
