    Gold is a terrible currency, the most overvalued material on earth. It has almost no real value. Its only practical use is as a corrosion resistant connector in basic electronics.

    The currency that has had the most steady value in terms of a laborers wage over the last 4 thousand years is beer.

    I'll trade you any amount of beer you want for it's weight in gold ;-)

    What a great way to take my comment out of context and create a generalization. SOMETIMES it's best not to think about these things (emotionally). Clearly you tactlessly disagree. Are you helping to keep track of every particle out there?! What kind of practical solution have you offered? Scientifically, sure, stare at the sky all you want. I'm glad to know there are people out there that are happy to do so.

    Why is it that Chinese students come to the U.S. to learn? Why is it that they in turn are constantly trying to hack into our networks thousands of times a day to steal our information? I'm sick of people undervaluing the U.S. for no good reason. Clearly this author doesn't know anything about what he's talking about, getting all philosophical like this. SHEEEITTTTTTTTTTT

    looking a bit into the future...So when you decide to take a nap during a trip in your autonomous car you're still in danger of crashing because that weary-eyed or drunk driver that can't afford this technology is still likely to drift out of his lane. How do they plan to avoid this type of thing? Will the car automatically swerve out of the way or screech to a halt while you're sleeping in the back seat? Seems like the only way for this to work is to have networking between cars in close proximity be a required component of all/new vehicles.

    Eh, they come to the US to learn how to do these kinds of things in our universities and then leave. I suppose we should encourage them to stay here a little longer by charging credit towards our debt to China if they are planning to leave the country within 5 years after graduation.

    haha sometimes I have to turn on my Mighty Mouse to connect to my iMac to reconnect my Microsoft Bluetooth mouse when that fails to connect. The wireless Mighty Mouse is not comfortable in my hand at ALL. Mighty mouse LOOKS cool, but I'd much rather use the the Microsoft Notebook Mouse 5000 (even though the connectivity sometimes sucks). this seems like an argument for both sides, and it is. Mac needs to improve connectivity for other mice, or make their mice more comfortable and lightweight.
