Honestly some of the new apple varieties are giant sugar bombs so I could see an argument for this. When you increase the size of the apple and the sweetness of the flesh you end up with less fiber (skin to flesh ratio) and at a certain point you've crossed the line into unhealthy. There was a study some time back I think in Australia or thereabouts that showed an increase in cardiovascular disease among those eating an apple a day. It's tough to find with all the pop sci articles on "an apple a day" but I do recall reading it. I'm sure if they'd controlled for the type of apple that wouldn't have been the case.
War doesn't necessarily cause PTSD. It is primarily a combination of modern culture at home and already unstable young men seeking an escape and signing up for military service. I suppose you could argue that PTSD in young men raised in this culture is caused by war but that is more of a chicken / egg thing.
It isn't even as straight forward as that. The constant refrain of "did so and so do this" or "unnamed sources claim x" does real damage to people. I still remember outtakes of CNN during desert storm. They were on set with fake palm trees and sand and stuff pretending to be on location... Whether you are right or left, honestly.. CNN is a joke.
Any modern house I'm aware of is going to have a concrete footer so I'm not sure what the difference wall material would make in this case to a foundation issue like that. The trees themselves wouldn't be any different from trees currently surrounding houses in most subdivisions or rural homes.
A solid brick, stone or concrete home when positioned correctly would allow me to build a house that will last centuries with little upkeep. The south facing walls of the house would be able to absorb significant amounts of heat in the winter and in the summer if I planted deciduous trees on this face of the home, the leaves would prevent a large part of this heat providing me with the opposite cooling effect. Basically, very little upkeep and a large amount of thermal mass.
I will be building a house this year and would kill for a solid masonry brick home. These veneers that people use on building these days I just don't understand...
It seems like you could easily end up in a chicken and egg argument there. Crime and drug usage correlation pretty strongly to family environment and if you suppress wages for a couple generations with welfare state as the background, you could argue that the inevitable result is be a bunch of messed up young men.
There would be many jobs created around a manufacturing plant other than the plant's employees. You have to take into account contractors to build and maintain (indefinitely) the equipment. You have deliveries, office equipment.. I mean everything from the Cisco switches, PLC programming from contractors.. to the vending machines.
I'm a little confused as to how you could have a diversity effort to include employees from groups other than white and asian males without excluding whites or asian males. You have a finite number of employee spots available... how effective would such an effort be if it didn't weigh individuals from the minority groups you are targeting more heavily than whites or asians?
I'm not even saying I object to the effort but to argue that providing a handicap number to minority groups you want in the company doesn't somehow result in candidates less qualified by the objective measurements you use to evaluate candidates.. that doesn't seem logically consistent to me. -Unless you're simply saying that in the rare cases more than one individual is equally tied and qualified you want to pick that from the group who's numbers you are trying to grow.
It follows then that other than the rare case of a tie above, you have the objectively less qualified candidate.

This is incorrect. It is propaganda pushed as part of the democrat party re-branding effort. Blacks moved to the democrat party in the 30's due to the New Deal. At that time they did it holding their noses because they were essentially putting themselves in bed with the KKK. African Americans were in a tough spot though due to poverty and Jim Crow.
In Congress I don't believe there was really any significant shift in the Democrats in office to the Republican side during the 60s -I think I remember there was like one fellow but I could be wrong.
I remember a few yrs ago a fellow in a group of bikers stop checked a car behind him. The car accidentally dinged him (this part is unrelated to your post). Next, the bikers surrounded the guy's car pissed off. He panics, hits the gas and drives over some bikes pushing them out of the way with his car. The police arrested the bikers and the fellow wasn't charged.
People are assuming the guy did this in malice and I'd lay even odds he did but prior to this the police retreated back from the protesters due to their aggression. I can believe the guy was scared as easily as him doing it intentionally.
You are allowing yourself to be used as a tool by the very people you view as oppressing you. Look objectively at all the the radicalization taking place and simply ask yourself "who benefits".
None of those people you denigrate committed any acts of violence. Unlike the past ANTIFA or BLM events where violence and rioting was the norm for the group. You had one ass associated with the group act out and not with any of the items you mentioned.
To a degree this is true but I'm beginning to wonder if written language was just a stepping stone to some other medium for storing and disseminating knowledge. If I want to know how to do something I go to youtube. I don't really read for enjoyment anymore but instead listen to audio books. I still read (comments obviously) and tech specs but I do wonder if the future isn't some sort of narrow form of memory or story that we provide to others.

They openly addressed it on Twitter and other mediums. In one particular county that was at 144% registration a 66% turnout means we got 99.3% of the citizenry to turn out to vote. Quite the miracle...
What is a "technical issue"? Is a technical issue something along the lines of they weren't technically eligible to vote? Is this similar to complaints that white people aren't arrested in proportion to blacks that ignore the stats on actual crime?
The scary thing is that the rise of the modern world it can be argued was due largely to a very recent and very slight increase in intelligence of the middle and lower class of Europe. This occurred in societies where upperclass children fell on hard times and filtered down the the rest of the population. In part this was due to 2nd, 3rd sons etc. not inheriting and in part just due to normal churn due to competition for top status. What will the inverse mean? Probably nothing good.
Hopefully genetic customization of children comes along to provide an opposing force to this.
