I'd always thought it was just me - when I try to explain it to most people they just look confused. Having never tried hearing aids, I'd guess they wouldn't necessarily help much though?
Though, maybe only every 20-30 seconds. Bonus points if it fits well with the music too. I guess that the negative stigma attached has probably discouraged many potential Pirate Remixes over the years, and it's time for that to change.
I'm in the Computer Science labs at my uni now, and I'm surprised how few other people have one.
Have had some recognition though, so I guess there's still hope.
For those interested, the full version of this article originally comes from the New Scientist, just before Christmas. The NYTimes version is shortened and split onto two pages.
Just sayin'
To make this easier, you can put applications into the finder toolbar. For example, I have textedit sitting up there for when I want to force a document to open in that rather than, say, Safari for.html files.
Safari has had Private Browsing for ages. I'm not hot on my browser history, but I believe it was one of, if not the, first to do this. (correct me if I'm wrong)
Since I haven't seen it mentioned yet, and it seems to fit the topic: (though I haven't RTFA, where do you think we are...?)
Overgrowth
I've been following the blog for a while, because of the developer videos they used to do, and they seem to be a very open development team. The articles they do almost daily are detailed and informative, especially to those like me that have an interest in game development, and I'm gonna stop now because I've realised I'm gushing:P
I'm not security unconscious either, but my account was compromised. When you have no control over what other uses the computer you play on is put, that's when you run into problems
Sure sounds a lot like skill/knowledge to me...
Should the game be so dumbed down that a newb has an equal chance to beat a pro on any match-up? I don't think any pvp games do that...

Thankyou.

As noted in TFA, Blizzard releases all their games simultaneously for Windows & Mac. It doesn't appear to have hurt them yet...
Actually, there's a rather useful plugin called glims which allows you to change the search box engine, among other things. I found it useful, anyway.

Obligatory xkcd: http://xkcd.com/125/
Where's it gonna gestate? In a box !?
and did it?
Then buy a second-gen Shuffle, they're still being sold. No-one is forcing you to get the new one, you know...

It's been out in the UK too, since I think mid-December. Not surprising that it should have at least some reviews already then...

"Completely unaware of the fact that I was about to be laid off," - He didn't know, seems it was an honest mistake...
Yeah, sorry. Gonna have to prove you wrong on that one...
