Thinking that nature thinks, and that if it does it cares at all about our survival, is pretty much the stupidest thing I can imagine.
IMO, reification is generally pretty stupid, and has no legitimate place outside of literature and poetry, where it's called "personification". It doesn't make sense to treat nature, society, government, or any abstraction as if it has a concrete existence and can think, plan, know, desire, or do anything on its own.
Sales taxes are supposed to be paid by consumers to the states. If consumers aren't paying the taxes they're supposed to be paying, then it's the state governments' job to enforce their own laws and collect the taxes. The states have no business demanding that Amazon act as their tax collectors.
I had a SNES as a teenager, and I loved it. It had Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, Axelay, Cybernator, Megaman X, Shin Megami Tensei, Wizardy V: Heart of the Maelstrom, Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore, Super Mario RPG, Super Metroid, Castlevania IV, A Link to the Past, etc.
I skipped the N64 because the only RPG available was Quest 64, and I didn't give a shit about Ocarina of Time.
I bought a GameCube, but the only games worth playing were Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2, Eternal Darkness, Tales of Symphonia, and Viewtiful Joe.
I bought a Wii, and it collects dust unless I feel like replaying Trauma Team, No More Heroes, or Muramasa: the Demon Blade.
I'm not buying a Wii U. Since Nintendo of America has no intention of releasing games like Xenoblade, The Last Story and Pandora’s Tower in the US, I have no further use for Nintendo.
The US is a country where people with an interest in STEM disciplines are mocked as nerds, geeks, and losers.
The US is a country where American engineers and programmers not only have to compete with offshoring, but with H-1B visa holders.
The US is a country where engineers and programmers get a crappy salary unless they work in finance.
With these facts in mind, I find it surprising that Barack Obama has the temerity to go on record as saying "we don't have enough engineers", while saying that "private sector companies will promote science, technology, engineering and math education, offer students incentives to finish degrees, and help universities fund their programs. The participating companies intend to double their internship hiring." It's going to take more than that to get more engineers, and we have to start in grammar school.
There are people who will pay hundreds of dollars for a pair of Nikes when they can get a perfectly good pair of sneakers for a fraction of the price. They're paying for the brand.
Syfy is irredeemably blackened by its association with WWE and made-for-TV movies that were so shitty that they made Roger Corman spin in his grave. I gave up cable TV when I moved out of my parents' attic. Syfy as a paid channel, even if cable moved to a la carte pricing, isn't reason enough to get cable again. For the good of science fiction and fantasy as art forms, Syfy must die.
You know, you could just start ignoring them right now.
I already have a PS3 and a 360. I want to get my money's worth out of 'em, and I don't feel like explaining to my wife why I'm going to get rid of three "perfectly good" consoles.
Fuck the PSN, and fuck Sony. Fuck Xbox Live and Microsoft as well. When these cunts announce their new consoles, I'm going to ignore them (and Nintendo as well), build a PC, and ignore consoles. I've had enough of this shit. If Valve can't keep Steam's data locked down, then I'll just download bootleg games.
I don't believe in Society for the same reason I don't believe in God. There are no God; religious people each have their own god, which they create in their own image. There is no Society; every individual has his own society, which emerges from his interactions with others.

Isn't this how we got "killer bees" in the first place?

Now I feel like it's going to die a slow death with no interest from casual people.
Didn't your father ever teach you that your feelings don't matter to anybody else? You're not a Jedi. Don't feel; think.
You should have one already, if you're a serious geek. Why wait until you need to replace a component?
I had forgotten about Ogre Battle 64, and this is the first I've heard of Ayden Chronicles. Thanks.

I'm glad his purchase of MySpace turned out so badly for him.
Your grandmother will die in 1-30 years. We don't give a fuck about her.
Voluntary trade between individuals for mutual benefit.
If we actually had capitalism, I doubt Microsoft would even exist. Corporations are an artifact from mercantilism.

There's unfortunately no word that means "normal person who wants his music to sound good without buying into the woo" [skepdic.com].

The executives should all commit seppuku. I won't believe they're sorry until they spill their fucking guts.
Why am I not surprised? Incompetence of this nature seems like just cause to destroy the Sony corporation and liquidate its assets.
