"This is not against these folks, it's for them. It's to integrate them into the community." - Aaron Peskin
I believe that workers are perfectly capable of deciding to go out into the city for lunch. Why Mr. Peskin thinks this requires a city ordinance to accomplish this is beyond me.
60% of tech workers feel underpaid. In a related note, 60% of tech workers live in some of the highest cost communities in the world. Stay tuned for further details...
While doing some work as a sometimes-IT-administrator for a small company, I saw firsthand what happens when you yank a USB drive too soon. We had just been bought by a larger company and were transitioning over to their systems, and had to download a large database from across the country. This file took close to an hour to download, and we just had to sit around and wait for it before we could proceed.
Bad idea #1 was the large company IT guys deciding to download it directly to the USB drive instead of the hard drive first (we were going to transfer to another non-networked computer via USB once we downloaded it). Bad idea #2 on my part was seeing the progress indicator go away and yanking out the USB drive to bring it over to the other computer. I can still see the looks of "NOOOOOOO!!!" on their faces.
Yep, file hadn't quite finished transferring to the USB drive. Proceeded to re-download to the hard drive this time for another hour wait.
To help achieve that goal, the U.K. will reportedly establish a 400-million-pound ($531 million) fund for companies that manufacture and install charging stations.
Uh, why would these companies, that have just been handed a government mandate that everybody use their equipment, need more funds? They should be making money hand over fist once this requirement goes into effect.
MoviePass will be long out of money before it gets 75% of ticket revenue. It's currently somewhere around the 5% range, and they are losing $20mil/month. They can't afford more subscribers as it is. And if the average MoviePass user only goes three times a month, and the monthly fee is about the price of one ticket, MoviePass will have to get theaters to cut their ticket prices to 1/3 normal... just to break even. I still see no path to making money. But I see in the financials that the CEO is getting nearly $9mil. Ah, now I see the 'business plan': Get a bunch of sucker investors to fork over money, I take my cut (I can't POSSIBLY work for less than $9mil!), and then walk off when everything goes to shit.
Even this 'business model' makes no sense. As far as I can tell, Moviepass is just paying the movie theaters directly for you. At regular price. What is the incentive for the movie theater to alter their price lower? The customer doesn't care what the cost of the ticket is, since they are just paying the flat monthly fee. This has just been the single worst business I have ever seen come along in my lifetime.
So a sentence that specifically states that congress shall have the power to regulate commerce between the states... means that the states have the power to regulate commerce between the states?
... and in that period he had not renewed Mr Diallo's contract in the new system
So, this had NOTHING to do with a 'machine' firing him. His contract expired (as it was suppose to), and nobody bothered to renew that contract (human error). Once the contract expired, the machine CORRECTLY disabled all of his access automatically.
I missed 3 weeks of pay because no one could stop the machine.
No, it was because both you and management never bothered to re-up your contract.
This is why I always wondered why electric car enthusiasts just automatically assumed that battery prices would just keep dropping and dropping. Sometimes as you use more and more of a material or resource, it may begin to become scarcer, thus actually RAISING the price.
You will also need a table that lists every item to determine if it is taxable or not. Every 'item' is not taxed the same in every state/county/city. This table is going to get really, really big...
"The FBI is reviewing allegations that Mr. Trump molested an under-age female."
And you're telling me that wouldn't have been an election-killing attack on Trump?
There is no way that would have 'killed' his election chances. There were allegations flying around about Trump walking in on underage girls changing their clothes all the time at Miss Teen USA, and 60 million idiots still voted for him. His voters absolutely do not care how or what Trump does to women (or girls).
As Secretary of State, she had the authority to declare what server are secure!
Not saying you are lying, but that seems just a little hard to believe. The Secretary of State has final say on how secure software/hardware installations are?
...and that the app takes special precautions to prevent it from spying on end users. [La Liga's full statement with the "appropriate technical measures to protect the user's privacy" is embedded in Ars' report.]
They can say 'protect user privacy' all they want. Behind office walls in their offices and meeting rooms, they can decide to do whatever the hell they want with these recordings.
Legal immigrants vote and pay taxes, illegals don't.
No, but the children that illegals give birth to do (and get automatic citizenship) vote, and I always hear Democrats and pro-illegal immigration tout how illegals 'pay taxes just like you and me' (SS, sales taxes, etc.). And they setup all of the sanctuary cities/states (you don't think those are for legal immigrants, do you?). To say that Democrats want less illegal immigration is just an ignorant statement.
The truly loony part of your statement, is the claim that someone would just get a permit in Florida so they could go back to their home city and shoot someone.
Uh, I wasn't the one claiming that. I was mocking that claim.
plus, it can be applied for via the mail... so no driving required
Except that you have to be a resident of Florida, and you have to go to a local law enforcement office for fingerprinting (it didn't really specify if it had to be a FLORIDA law enforcement office, but that would be just plain weird to require residency and then accept fingerprinting from another state).
If Telsa were putting significant amounts retained earnings on the books and paying stockholder dividends...
they would be bankrupt. What 'earnings' are you referring to? They are spending more cash than they make.

What I am looking for is: Technological leadership. Market presence. Production leadership. Most of all: backorders and strong forecast.
I notice that you didn't list 'Making a Profit' in your list.

Seriously. What the hell is that?

Is that true? If the debt is in her name, how is he responsible for it?
TFA only mentions companies that manufacture and install. There is nothing in there about running or maintaining anything.
Tesla doesn't really have anything to do with this.
To help achieve that goal, the U.K. will reportedly establish a 400-million-pound ($531 million) fund for companies that manufacture and install charging stations.

She was being an asshole to someone after they SLIGHTLY disagreed with her take on something. This has nothing to do with 'mansplaining'.

Damnit...
If you have a cluster of stars which are at most a light year away from each other and with many on the order of light months
Our NEAREST star is over four light years away.

Exactly. And what's wrong with a citizen voting?
Absolutely nothing is wrong with that. Why would you think I have a problem with citizens voting?
Oh then you are one of those morons who know nothing about illegal immigrant but want to spout shit....blah, blah, blah....
I have no idea what the point of that paragraph was, or how it relates to anything we were discussing.
If you ever think about asking for sources?
Uh, what? That's not even a complete sentence.
Sometimes, first-handed source can't be quoted or it would become second-handed source that you are asking for.
Now you're just randomly writing words.
