No, it didn't work for Germany. However, it *very* nearly did. It wasn't a one sided war.
I think WW2 is a poor indicator of what kind of strategies worked. There were so many variables (and luck) involved - it's difficult to simplify something so grand into "Germany lost due to their attack based strategy".
By extension, couldn't you apply this same idea to the people who go around and steal unsecured (by default) wireless to download kiddy porn? I don't disagree with you but it's just this whole muddy area. It should prove interesting to see how it all pans out.
You know, one time I had the luxury of working on a blade server set up to use both forms of feeds. Ultimately I found when compiling my AI dataset, each subchannel was coherently placed within 5 arcs of true accuracy. The AI was able to do very well on the turing test as a result and my boss was quite pleased.
Has anyone attempted to use a KVM setup to see if this improves the data augmentation at all?
It would be fun to watch if all these rulings seemed to accomplish anything useful. At least from my perspective here in the states, all the ruling in the world has not done a bit of good. Perhaps this is just my ignorance showing, but they've been getting "slammed" by the EU for a very long time. What has come of it? Has it made a difference at all outside the EU?
Exactly what I was thinking about when I read the summary. This comment is offtopic to be sure, but "Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!" is one of the best books I've ever read.
If you've got a clan it's easy enough to skew the results. Just arm everyone with rocket launchers and fire simultaneously at any given point on the ground! Insta-quake Quake.:P
I hate to burst your bubble but south park's creators have had this stuff up on their site for weeks. The summary makes it seem like it will happen soon but in reality all of the episodes have been viewable before now.
This is why I like EVE Online's solution. Regardless on if you're logged in or not, your character is always gaining experience to your set skills. Plus every so often they increase what new people are allowed to start with from what I've seen so pretty much everyone is useful in their own way.
Jeff Goldblum: "Yes. Uh,. thank you. That's a... uh... a what-do-you-call-it when you... umm... When you... when you punish criminals in... uh... days of yore. It was a... And you'd put them in the... uh... the square in those... you know... uh... Yes. Uh,. thank you. That's a... uh... a what-do-you-call-it when you... umm... When you... when you punish criminals in... uh... days of yore. It was a... And you'd put them in the... uh... the square in those... you know... uh..."
Alex Trebek: You mean in the stocks or a pillory?
Jeff Goldblum: Yes, exactly!
[timer sounds]
Alex Trebek: It's a FRIGGIN HAMMER!
Jeff Goldblum: Well of course it is.
Sean Connery: Now listen to me, YOU BACK OFF TREBEK! You wouldn't have known that if you didn't have that card in front of ya!
Being American, I require all of my analogies to be in libraries of congress vs. nascar track time (as others before me have likely stated.) Thanks in advance!
Is there not a realm on earth in which advertising has not been thought of? I think we'll need to put you down for even suggesting that. Next someone going to think of something retarded like colonoscopy advertising. It's like that Bill Hicks skit. "Hey, advertising is shit! We could go after that anti-advertising dollar! That's a strong dollar. Big market for that."
I somehow seriously doubt you have any real way of quantifying that observation with data to assert it. It's easy to talk shit about America this, USA that - yet I'm not really seeing any tangible proof that our citizens or corporations are inherently different than everywhere else. You want to talk about infrastructure making a profit? Shall we discuss London's congestion charge? Hell as far as I'm concerned, Europe is just as bad.
I dunno. The levels of insanity reached in both Apple fanboyism and the Israeli/Palastenian conflict seems equivalent sometimes. Hey, you hear that? That's the sound of my karma level going through the floor!
Yes and as a few others said, people like you are why we enjoy coming to slashdot. Thank you for giving all of us insight on what it is you do - it's not every day I get to converse with a surgeon. Thanks for doing the job you do and being so adamant about learning how to do it better - I know quite a few in this audience (me likely included) will likely be requiring similar services someday in the future, sadly. We all ought to be very grateful.
Yes, because everyone on the planet works on curing cancer. Different people excel at different things - are you going to suggest stopping progress in everything until cancer is cured? That is ridiculous and all of humanity's progress will stop on a dime. That's like saying, quick! Stop developing network technology because curing cancer is more important! The reasoning just doesn't work and it's kind of overplayed.
It's times like these that I wish we'd hurry our dumb asses up and build huge observatories on the dark side of the moon. At least that way we can still get data - though it just isn't the same imagining an Earth where you can't go outside with binoculars to do some stargazing because everyone has 2000 lumen bulbs in every socket of their residence.
You can't hope for change when you decide it is best to simply submit. Do you honestly think the government in China will change without loss of life? Too late for that.

You should look into the definition of sarcasm sometime and get that charcoal-turned-diamond outta your ass.

Won't someone please think of the ponies? :(
OMG PONIES!!!
:(
Oops, sorry. I'm new at this. I jumped the gun by 3 hours.
You have to start somewhere, right?

Exactly the fan-boy rebuttal I was expecting!
Could you go back to the Penny Arcade forums please?

Haha, that bit never gets old.

What if you're a man with really nice tits? I think that might complicate things.

What, no Tux Racer overlords? You programmers need to get your acts together. We could turn this great game into reality! :D
