"They want to have their cake and eat it too"
Stupid indeed, but isn't that exactly what you wanted also?
You had the option to import a CD, or to not have it at all. To you, the only legal option was to import the CD, which you didn't want to do.
The option was there but you chose to pirate instead. Yes the record company could offer other means, but they don't- that still doesn't justify piracy.
Nobody is 'forcing' you to do anything. If you don't like the DRM, don't buy or play the game.
Clifski sums it up perfectly: http://games.slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=1045255&cid=25920081
Pirating helps nobody and you cannot attempt to justify it with whatever reason- be it that you don't 'like' DRM or don't agree with the publisher/developer.
If you are going to pirate a movie, don't tip-toe around it. Just download the thing from the Internet.
And miss the joy of sticking it to the man?
And the joy of making him 5$ richer? Umm, wait. Gotta think about it a bit more. Brb, torrenting. $5 profit from every sale? I wish.
I think that overshoots the point a bit.. the can designer isn't going to take into account what the end product is made of- his job is to design the packaging. Not the food.
they misrepresented the capacity of their products knowingly, this is a warning to any other company stupid enough to lie like this. Stupid enough to lie? Don't jump the gun or anything! What if they actually did make a mistake?
Hey.. even NASA made mistakes with thier calculations.. It can happen..
How much better would Vista have been without DRM?
Does anybody really, truly know? I've used Vista since it came out, as have a lot of friends and family.. not run into any DRM yet.
Then again that's not to say it isn't there- I've just not come across it.
But who here really has run into the dreaded 'Vista DRM'? Who out of the whole Vista userbase has? I'd hazard as guess that it's an absolute minority of the users.
Lord Northcliffe, is that you?

I believe that's fake, or at least drawn out since the dawn of time. http://www.snopes.com/military/lighthouse.asp Still amusing I guess.
