It seems like the US congress will continue to extend copyright indefinitely. If so, nothing that is currently under copyright will *ever* be released to the public domain.
I guess the old joke is true. "If pro is the opposite of con, what's the opposite of progress?"
They screwed up. They were supposed to release the virus a few months after the product launch. So Symantec and Mcafee can gain a whole new market for their products.
Since the United States decided that the conventions don't apply to "enemy combatants" does that mean they also don't worry about using these special "less lethal" bullets anymore?
Also, watch this post be modded down promptly as a troll, which should tell you something of the power of long entrenched religions.
The fact that you're +5 tells me something about your inability to foresee the future.:-) I just wish you'd said mod me down, as I have foreseen or maybe mod me down, and I shall become more powerful than you can imagine
Shasradio was one of the original listener-driven internet radio stations. (No link since the domain no longer exists). Listeners rated songs either as they played or by browsing through the playlist database. For each block of 5 songs, the station chose 3 or 4 of the highest rated songs (based on the user ratings of whomever was *currently* listening), a request (if any), and 1 or 2 "no votes yet" songs (to keep it fresh).
I loved that station and felt really bad when it went under (lack of funding).
Shas, if you're out there, any chance of reviving it?

So I paid $80 for package including many excellent single-player games, but I can't play any of them without getting express consent from Valve every time. When that consent is unavailable, I can't play the games I bought.
This is why I chose not to buy a copy. And I don't mean that I stole a copy instead... I don't play it at all.
I want it, of course, but I'm not willing to buy the game with the restrictions they have in place.
You have a small problem with your logic.
you are presupposing that the cameras will be controlled by, and only available to, honest, loyal, trustworthy boy scouts.
Could you imagine a situation where you walk out of a "monotored area" and within 30 seconds a team of armed police decend and bundle you away back to somewhere "safe" and give you a lecture about "safety and responsibility?"
Sounds like the airport. Except the "safe" place you get bundled off to is a naval base in Cuba. And the "lectures" involve sleep deprivation and torture.
We had Scott Baker from Pawprint360 do the photography for our wedding. He gave us all the pictures and the rights to them. Apparently, that's standard for him.
He took tons of pictures, and basically did an all-round fantastic job. We were really happy with the job he did a highly reccommend him if you're in B.C. or Washington State.
Sounds great.... but remember Sony's habit of making a big technology advance then castrating it.
Based on past experience they'll allow you to copy the object from A to B, but the copy on B can't be moved anywhere else. (even if you created it). Either that or they'll make is so expensive that nobody will use it.
It's metric. It's 12x (US) or 9x (UK) in English measurements.
Thank you. I needed cheering up.
I'd mod you +1 funny, but you're both already maxed out.
Sounds like the comments section to me.
Thank you thank you, I'll be here all week...

More like Valve.
"problem-solving, resilience, persistence and collaboration" sounds like counterstrike to me.
You forgot the part where Dr. Evil demands a million dollars. :-)
I'm not sure how your post answers my question.
Would you elaborate?
Just start killing Bothans, I'll tell you when to stop
It's also "treason in time of war".

It was doubleplus good.
Where were they when we needed a worldwide cell phone standard?
It sure would be nice to have a cell phone that works everywhere in the world and was supported by all providers.

Unfortunately, you only have a +4. :-(
Better luck next time.
Penny-Arcade already covered this very topic. Damn, those guys are good.
I want my Shasradio back. Shas, where are you?

It's "Hoser", faker :-)

Unless it weighs the same as a duck.
In that case, it's a witch.
Thank you for giving me my new email sig.

Like 3D Realms is doing with Duke Nukem Forever?
The answer is somewhere in the middle. Too little time results in a crappy game. Too much time results in vapor.
Sounds great.... but remember Sony's habit of making a big technology advance then castrating it.

Gotta love Sony.
(Hmm... is that +1 cynical or -1 cynical?)
