I'm currently looking at getting a netbookas a college student. Not because of cost concerns, but simply because I want something to type notes on with a battery life that will work for my 7 consecutive hours of lecture. There are uses for these things, not every computer has to be able to run folding@home, Crysis, and my web server at the same time.

From what I understand the DMCA makes decryption of copyrighted content illegal, but not decryption per se. However, there have been cases of this being applied to mean anything which could be applied to the decryption of copyrighted content.

So as is far too common in legal systems, something which isn't and shouldn't be technically illegal is in fact illegal in practice.

    How about 2 actual facts:

The President has no vote. The VP votes only in a senatorial tie. So this "voting with the white house" line is BS.

Discounting unanimous votes (usually commendations and non-binding resolutions), McCain has voted along the White House's desires about 40% of the time.
